Terrible shipping and customer service

"I purchased several products, due to the delays in shipping, I cancelled one item in the website to source it locally. Later, I got an email informing the website was not up-to-date and all items were shipped at the moment of my cancellation therefore I should wait for the delivery then accept all items but the one cancelled to get a refund for it.
When the items arrived, I accepted and signed for all items with the exception of the one cancelled (provided return number) as instructed by BuyitDirect then emailed customer service right away to keep them informed getting a reply after the returned item arrived I would get a refund.
After several weeks, I followed up on the refund, I was informed no refund was going to take place as according to their records I accepted the delivery for all items. After lots of emails / phone calls BuyitDirect was unable to resolve then denied my refund. I had to go myself back to the shipping company to track the individual that did the delivery to prove the delivery never took place then write a letter with evidence back to BuyitDirect and the consumer protection agency. After all this dilemma, I finally got a refund with not even an apology for all the ordeal and basically accusing me of being a thief. Never again thanks,

Worst online retailer ever.

"Ordered Headsets on 24th of January with delivery date within 2 weeks, they haven't delivered anything until i messaged them a month later and they claimed they have delivered the item. After asking for a refund i got bunch of lies until they agreed to do a refund, that was 3 weeks ago. Still no refund or anything. Make sure that you don't buy there if you want your money safe."

Gosh where to start

"Gosh where to start I think if you want a bargain and are willing to have issues and you have time to get the items (think 6 weeks) then maybe maybe buy from them. Plus points price, good customer service they do get back to you. Now my experience with them:
I am having a new kitchen (we have saved for about four years) so wanted all new appliances and that feature of a beautiful bright smeg fridge. Which I have found to be difficult to by in Ireland. So on the 19th August E2700 with buyitdirect.ie. We paid via telephone by debit card. They have a strange security check that means they have to ring you up via your land line to confirm your address. We have not got a land line phone as we are in the middle of nowhere. So they cancelled the payment. We had to wait three days to get the money refunded back into our account. Then we paid by bank transfer. (why this security check had not be explained at point of sale I have no idea, we would have paid by bacs in the first place if requested) The transfer went though no problem. On the 29th August we noticed that the company had debited from our card E428.55. Just randomly stole the money. We had to wait three days for the money to be returned back. so not only had they got E2700 with no sign of any goods, they also had E428.55 of our money. Normally this is enough to make you go nuts but it impacted on us buy our kitchen as we had to pay the kitchen company. I had the choice to not eat until the money was returned or put the kitchen on hold for a week missing our build slot with the company. The head of customer service was very good and offered us a sorry refund of £50. because of this and the price I decided not to cancel the whole order. I will point out we did get the stolen money back, but we did not get the £50 sorry refund. When part of order arrived on the 12th September it was missing an expensive item. I was very concerned as the shipping label was bizarrely lacking information, no town, no eircode it would be like sending an item to Mr Smith Stephen street Lancashire. anyway a E390 washer/dryer was missing from the order. Customer service was very good they at least believed me when I told them it hadn't arrived. They found that there was a problem with the consignment numbers and promised it would be shipped. It never came. 17 days later all my order apart from the missing item had arrived. When I spoke again to customer service they would send me another but it would take two weeks. I decided I had had enough and asked for a refund. So on Monday 2nd October (remember first ordered on the 19th of August!) I was told the refund was processed. The 4th of October I got another email asking for my bank details cause I paid via BACS. So when I get this refund will be interesting.
The 12!! Of October still no refund!!!!!! So two months they have had our money. TWO months! By law is 30 days.

So if you want items for a good price that 'might' arrive very slowly, have good customer service with bad shipping and a very bad system to check if items have arrived. Then use this company. If not I think you should buy from someone else for the stress it is worth paying extra. I also believe that they us other trading names so double check before you give them your money.

"Customer services are below any known standard in a civilized world.
I bought a blue-ray player from their counter in Huddersfield paying 15 quid more than Amazon priced it. After having watched a couple of films I noticed an item was making a high frequency noise I couldn't stand.
I took a player back to them asking to test it.
They did and found no fault! To collect it back off them I had to pay 35 pounds for so called 'engineer's time'. They said 'engineer's time fee' was mentioned in their Terms And Conditions on their web-site.
It Is Not. I've run through the whole web-site and there is not a word about it. Not to mention a well displayed info in their shop. Nothing at all. Neither they advised me on this charge accepting the player for testing.
As advised by Trading Standards I paid this stupid charge under protest and I'll be claiming it back.
Trading Standards say the seller has absolutely no right to charge me for such an inspection (player is only 2 weeks old).
I'm to send them a letter. If they do not refund the charge, there will be a legal action against BuyItDirect from Trading Standards as they have received many complaints so far.
My advice is: Think twice before you buy from BuyItDirect.

"They have one of the lowest prices on the net, but their customer service is beyond belief. Bought an HDMI TV with none of the HDMI ports working , so we returned it after Sony technical helpline gave up on finding the fault and since the TV was still brand new. The TV was sent back at the beginning of January. DirectTvs then took 2 weeks and a LOT of chasing to test the TV, then claimed that they 'have tested everything and it works' and so they will be charging me an additional £75 to send the tv back to us, which includes a fee for the testing. Next thing I knew, I received an email saying that the TV is going to be sent back to me the next day - no consulting me, no checking that someone's going to be in to receive it, nothing. So I contacted them again, and they basically maintained that they have checked again and they're returning the tv to me. Having no option but to take their word for it, I arranged for it to be sent on Tuesday 1st February.

This seemingly simple process seems to be too complex for their customer services team. Like a lot of people, I work full time so I had to make arrangements with my employer to get the day off to wait for the delivery. Long story short, they have failed to deliver the TV on 3 separate occasions, with problems ranging from mix-up in their warehouse, Parcelforce didn't pick up on time, delivery van getting into an accident while picking up, etc. So now, a month after returning the TV, I'm out of £600, I have a faulty TV (with their difficulty in arranging a simple delivery, I very much doubt that they have the capability of testing a tv!) that's gone missing, and I'm running out of annual leave - all thanks to Direct TV and their OUTSTANDINGLY, ABYSMALLY DISMAL customer services team. I will be making a formal complaint and taking this further with the Trading Standards. Think twice before using this website.

"I ordered an LED TV from Direct TV's back in December. They took payment (and charged all of their additional fees) on the order date but it took weeks for the TV to come in to stock.

As if that wasn't an omen of things to come, once the TV arrived it had a manufacturing defect.

At first Direct TV's tried to charge me for collection of the faulty item and then added another fee for redelivery of the replacement! After several phone calls they eventually agreed to waive these fees. This was only after a long discussion on their flagrant abuse of Sales of Goods Act 1979.

I finally thought the end was in sight when they promised to replace the TV, but then another problem cropped up. I was told by Direct TV's that the manufacturer had stopped producing the TV I had ordered and so they could only offer me a different (inferior) model. Needless to say that when I contacted the manufacturer to check this statement, it was news to them that they had discontinued their new range.

Frustrated and now in the third month of this saga I requested a full refund. However, Direct TV's were adamant that they would only refund the cost of the TV and not all of the extras fees that had been added to the bill. It was not until I threatened legal action over their practices (that contravene the Sales of Goods Act 1979) that I finally was promised a full refund.

Beware, this company has no concept of consumer rights! And remember, where goods are faulty or not fit for purpose the consumer should not be left out of pocket.

"First time I've bought something this expensive online but the saving was too much to ignore. Still think its odd how larger stores can get away with charging so much more. Bit nervous at first as there were lots of mixed reviews online about directtvs but was very happy when my new sony tv arrived next day. I use it for gaming and films (blu-ray of course :) ) and the picture qulaity is amazing, tempted to buy another smaller tv for my bedroom next.
Would defintiely use directtvs again and have recommended them to my brother.
