"Around midnight (PST), I discovered I had no operating systems on hand but needed one for a computer I had promised would be up and running in the morning.
I ordered an operating system that was available for downloading on line. Although the office was closed for the day, Discount Mountain immediately emailed the operating system download instructions and the product key.
However, downloading was only available during regular office hours. Since I was desperate, I installed the operating system using an available non-branded OEM operating system disk and the Discount Mountain emailed product key. I had no activation problems and the computer was ready to go as promised.
Customer service said they intended and preferred downloaded operating system be used with the provided product key but, in this case, the final proof that all had gone well was activation.
While the customer service representatives are knowledgeable, understandable and friendly, I think it would lighten their load if the website had one page devoted to explaining the many differences between the software variations and delivery methods.
