"##### SCAM ALERT #####

First, I never take the time to write reviews on companies. With that said, I was so angry with this purchase that I could not help myself!

I was in the market for Windows Pro 7 OEM. I did a product search in Google for this software under the software part number. Google listed Discount Mountain Software as the cheapest seller. I then clicked on the link and it took me directly to Discount Mountain Software's web site. While on the page, I verified that the part number they had listed on their web site matched the part number I was searching for. It did match so I went ahead and made the purchase.

I received the software only to discover that it is BRANDED DELL SOFTWARE and has a completely different software part number than the one I ordered! I contacted Microsoft and they explained to me that it was illegal for me to install this software and it was punishable by law to do so! Branded software is only intended to be distributed with the computer system the company is selling. So for example as Microsoft explained... This Dell branded software can only be sold with a new Dell computer system and cannot be sold separately.

Another very interesting find thanks to Microsoft was that the COA included with the software was glued onto the back of the software pack. The COA cannot even be removed to put it on the back of a PC.

I will be sending this software into Microsoft and have released on the details regarding this purchase to them.

I just wanted to warn any potential buyers to look out! I went back to their site and did notice the fine print that its the branded version... which again is illegal for me to install! Also watch out for them selling software called refurbished version. They are selling this refurbished software under standard OEM part numbers!

I have been looking for Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended at a realistic price now for months with no luck until I stumbled upon them. I even went as far as purchasing CS4 here locally at a technical college bookstore (Educational Version) for a fairly decent price, only to find I couldn't "activate" it unless I jumped thru a dozen hoops and proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that I was a currently enrolled student. Discount Mountain Software had this product for $339.96 with free shipping! Most other places charge $600-$1000 for this stuff.
Furthermore, this company has real, live humans that you can talk to and are very, very knowledgable and courteous. That's a rarity these days. The software was here in 3 days as promised and installed flawlessly using the supplied serial number on the software packaging as I was told by Discount Mountain via phone.
I have became very skeptical of online merchants after taking a screwing a time or two so I thoroughly researched these Guys prior to dealing with them and found absolutely nothing negative on them anywhere. They deserve praise here because this is the first place I look now after discovering Reseller Ratings some years ago after being ripped off royally by "Discovery Camera & Electronics" (look 'em up, you'll see)!"
