"I placed an order for The Little Mermaid and The Little Mermaid II to give as a Christmas present to my 4-year old daughter. I never received the movies, not had I received any standard notification of shipment, even though my credit card had been charged. After sending them several e-mails to inquire about the status of my order (the company conveniently has no phone number), I finally received one e-mail from someone named John, who claimed the movies were shipped 3 days after my order was placed. He wrote that I could request a refund. Well, after several e-mails to request a refund and still not getting one, I contacted by phone their billing company, eseascale.net to issue my refund. I ended up having to call eseascale 3 times to request a refund and each time their excuse was that they couldn't do anything except submit my request to discountmovie.net. On my most recent call to eseascale, the person I was speaking to hung up on me. I still don't have a refund and am therefore still out $44.97. Today when I tried to send 2 e-mails to discountmovie, I received "undeliverable mail" messages. And finally, the discountmovie.net website apparently no longer exists. I am taking steps to report this incident to an online consumer agency, and hopefully, no one else will be cheated and tricked as I was."
"Wanted to buy Disney's original "Jungle Book" from 1967 on DVD for my girlfriends baby cousin. Disney did a very limited release to it's pretty rare - so when I found these guys claimed to stock it, I jumped at the chance!
However, they're a dreadful "company". Don't touch discountmovie.net with a barge pole! They're thieves. Or rather (more likely) HE'S a thief. I wish I'd checked the WHOIS record before attempting to do business with them - lesson learned. The "business" appears to operate from an apartment in Malaysia and the only means of contact is a yahoo.com email address. I doubt he's ever shipped a DVD in his life!
And as for eSeaScale who took the payment, they are attempting to have nothing to do with it! They too are clearly scum, as they obviously don't make any checks on the individuals they take payments for and the home page of their website includes such delightful products as "Debt Elimination" (I wonder what that entails), "Tobacco Products" and "Exotic Leather"... hmmm. If you see that name on an online booking form, click away quick!!
One furious customer and disappointed 2 year old later, I hope the owner pays for his bad karma eventually - he's clearly upset a number of people."
"I ordered a DVD of the Little Mermaid for a Christmas Gift. After waiting for 10 days I attempted to reach this company by e-mail as directed. They have not responded to any of the three e-mails sent, but the charge for the movie is already on my credit card. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE unless you want to pay for items you don't receive. They use a billing outfit who generates a canned message when you try to protest the bill telling you to contact discount movie sales, but they never respond. Avoid this outfit at all costs!!!!!!!!!"
"Ordered a DVD, was billed by a third party (eSeaScale Trading Limited) and never received the movie. There have been no responses to numberous emails. I emailed the owner of the discountmovie.net domain with no response.
I haven't received my credit card bill yet, but it will be interesting when I fight the charges.
STAY AWAY! This is a fraud website."
