"I found that Daryl, the customer service representative, was very knowlegable and within a few minutes had the price of the parts I needed and was very efficient. I have had a very good experience so far."

"I bought discount ac parts after market compressor with the complete AC kit for our 2002 Dodge Ram 6/25/12. They talked me into believing their after market product was better than OEM. My son who is a mechanic and has worked on air-conditioning installed it following the instructions. By 9/27/12 it was doing the same thing as the old one. I called them to have it replaced on the warranty. They were very rude and told me they wouldn't replace it because he had to have put it in wrong. The next day I called back and asked for the manager. He agreed to replace it but wouldn't not include the AC kit. The shop we were taking it to wouldn't put the compressor on unless we had a new AC kit just in case there were pieces from the bad compressor in them. So I had to pay for the AC kit. We had a shop we know who does air conditioning install the second one at a cost of $393.37 on 10/4/12. The compressor has not felt like it was cooling as good as it should all summer. We were hoping it was because it has been extremely hot. The coolant checked OK. Today 7/23/2013 it started making noises and smoke started coming out of it. Two days and it would have been 13 months just one month over its warranty. I called them they said the best they can do is sell us a new OEM one at their cost. I told them I don't want another after market. The shop I had install the second one warned me that they had nothing but problems with after market compressors. So far I am into this $780.37. With at least another $618.37 on top of that it will have cost me $1,398.74 which is way more that the original estimate the shop gave me. I went this route to save money. I would never by from discount ac again nor would I recommend it to anyone. I personally think they should have given a full years warranty on the second compressor they sent to me. Because the best they cam do is sell me an OEM. I still had to $275.00 for the new one. I just found out on their web site an extend warranty They should have to pay labor for their defective parts. I also think that if their parts are defective they should have to pay labor twice in our truck. "
"excellent parts,Robert is very friendly!"
"I could not be more pleased with the pricing, shipping & the customer service
"
"I wanted to thank you for your service. Jacob is a great asset and really cares about the end goal of the customer. "
"Although the refurbished part I ordered was not available, Discount AC Parts gave me a new replacement at no additional cost. They were very courteous and helpful. I will definitely be returning here to do my future business! Thanks Addison for being so helpful!"
"I like to thank Robert he was very helpful.great prices"
"I delved in deeper than I would have normally, but due to the quote to replace my ac system, I gave it a whirl to do it myself. Did months of research and compared prices, etc. I decided on DACPARTS and their package w/ recommended compressor. I was leaning towards the Denso compressor, but gave DACPARTS recommendation on their compressor a go coupled w/ the warranty equaling that of Denso. Having a Suburban w/ rear air the system is large as is the cabin in which to cool. All parts ordered arrived complete and ready to go. I followed the must do's for warranty and installation of the compressor and parts to a tee(A Must). Flushed front and rear lines, both evaporator's, replaced drier, orifice tube, replaced condenser, drained factory oil in compressor, replaced w/ proper amount of new oil(11 ounces of PAG 46), assembled, vacuumed for 2 hours, turned compressor clutch at least 10 times before putting on belt and charging her up w/ 48 ounces of refrigerant. Took it to a certified mechanic for a complete check up and everything is 100%. Bottom line is Discount AC Parts has delivered on their promise for quality and assurance and I would highly recommend their services and products."
"Pray that you don't get a bad part!
Ordered 2000- Honda- Odyssey- All ModelsAC Kit and 2000- Honda- Odyssey- All ModelsA/C Condenser.
New Compressor will not function from the get go and is found to have defective clutch.
Warranty covers compressor but we were told we have to pay Deposit $150 to have one promptly shipped. We were given the option to return defective compressor via shipment by UPS with supplied label from them. I don't know about you or your customers but mine and myself don't have $150 to throw around anytime a part is bad.
7/8/13 shipped back compressor with supplied label.
From Arkansas it takes 7 days to return the defective item to their California location with the free return label provided by them. We gave it to UPS on 7/8/13 and discountacparts accepted the package on 7/15/13 Very slow return process.
7/18 we still have no update on the replacement compressor.
Called discountacparts customer service and inquired status of return. I was told yes it was received 7/15 but they hadn't checked it in yet and that until receiving had checked it in they could do nothing. I feel this is unsatisfactory in my opinion.
They did ship the defective item originally to me quickly. Their return process is slow.
Their warranty doesn't cover additional labor. It doesn't cover additional parts. It doesn't cover loss of use. It does require additional deposit of money for promptly sending out a replacement part.
Otherwise it requires 3-7 days of return. An additional 3-4 to process the item. An additional 3-4 days of delivery. This is per their customer service 7/18/13 when I spoke to them.
Customer service is not able to help further our situation and apparently it's the receiving department that has to go forward with their job in order to get the replacement part in the works elsewhere in their company.
Be aware that unless you have a mechanic at your beck and call you are likely to have an additional delay like myself and others who have posted negative feedback. This is why a local parts store is convenient compared to online I suppose.
Order Part if not in stock from local store. If you get a Defective Part you return it back to store. Replacement part is either on its way or you are given replacement immediately if in stock.
I feel that if they sent our the replacement part immediately after seeing UPS tracking info that the pain would be lessened. BUT THEY DON'T!!!!!
Per My Customer "When the part is shipped defective and the customers car is disabled requiring more labor and parts and additional days out of service it isn't any worth buying the part from from an online store such as this experience."
