"Ordered an a/c compressor kit for a 2006 Jeep Liberty. The kit contained the compressor, o-rings/gaskets, compressor oil, drier and orifice tube. Problem is the orifice tube is not something you can physically install. It is sealed in the A/C liquid line. You MUST buy the line. I called to let them know so they could note this and at least tell customers what they would need. Was an extra $50 at a parts store. The sales person acted like he could care less whether they had this information. When I told him...all he said was "OK". I actually thought they would be more interested in the products they were selling.
The installation instructions are not specific to the 2006 Jeep Liberty installation. Could be a little better for the inexperienced person.
Overall...my initial contact during the purchasing process was OK. Only wish I had known about the orifice tube. "

"This is a story of bad turned to good... and it's all thanks to WES in the customer service department. I was sent a part meant for someone in Canada (a warehouse/logistics mistake)and I live in Australia.
I drive an American car, a Ford Cougar, which I love and is now 12 years old. Obviously, the parts for the car are best available in the US, so while I was visiting my brother last month, I ordered a new compressor from Discount AC Parts. The mistake was only discovered when I returned to Aus and booked my car in. Long story short (because there's more to it), when I called back, I was told that I'd get a refund, but only once they got the part back. THE QUOTE TO SEND THE PART BACK WAS $330 and I was supposed to pay for it!!! Yes, more than the part and freight together had cost in the first place.
Considering they'd sent me a part meant for someone else, this was ludicrous. It seemed touch and go at times, but THANKS TO WES, who kept his cool throughout, it was resolved well. Would I use the company again? Only if I knew Wes was making sure it all happened properly! I look forward to receiving a full refund soon."
