Just FYI, Free shipping is NOT free shipping if you have to return your items. The policy is very unclear about this. It states that if you had free shipping and your order fell below $75, then you are responsible for the original shipping charges (which you dont know the amount of) if you return it. The 'falls below $75' part of the policy means AFTER you ship it back, not the amount of the original order BEFORE you shipped it back. So even if your original order is over $75, when you ship it back, they will deduct the original shipping cost from your refund. So, you get to pay shipping charges of the product both ways!! This is deceptive and false advertising designed so they can make a profit on returns. Its a pretty crappy way to treat customers. The few dollars you might save in pricing is not worth the spanking you will get if you are not satisfied with your order. Its a scam! I am out $75 with nothing to show for it."
"When ordering from online companies you need some sense of security when ordering that you will have hassle free returns if needed since you cannot physically see the items (unless you know on the front end and have ordered it or seen it before). We had an issue with a large order and had to return some items and the return process was a HUGE Hassle!! Not only was it hard to deal with customer service but on top of that they didn't even give us a full refund. They took $25 off the refund amount because now that we are returning the items we no longer qualified for the Free Shipping we got on the order. So it costed us $65 to make a return b/c of course we had to pay for the return shipping as well. $65 is a lot of money to lose on a product and get NOTHING for it. I might also mention that the products were not packages very well when shipped. We did a better job protecting the product with the return then they did with the original order. "

"I'm a buyer with over 600 suppliers and I'm always on the lookout for a good deal. Discount Office frequently comes up as one of the lower cost online vendors. How do they accomplish that? I only have two solid examples, but I'm not betting on a third.
October 2012: Purchased two Sharp accounting calculators. One arrived new/unopened, the other arrived opened and slightly scratched. It was non-functional when plugged in. Return was easy, although you have to watch out for their 3 day return policy.
January 2013: Purchased a Swingline electric stapler. Product once again arrived opened, scratched and damaged. It looked like an unrepaired refurbished item. Again, the return was hassle-free.
Be prepared to receive refurbished products when you order from Discount Office Supplies. They have to cut costs somewhere. "

"No problems. Prices we're really low and they had some clearance binder combs that were so inexpensive I bought enough to last me for a few years. Ordered a 2' by 3' dry erase board (the manufacturer is Universal) and I think they had it drop shipped from somewhere else since that appeared two days later. The board was a little bent but I think that's a combination of the shipper (UPS) or that Universal doesn't put enough Styrofoam in the box to protect the board in the first place. Not Discount Office Items' fault. The binder combs hadn't arrived yesterday (5 days from time of order) and I called and their Customer Service rep said it would be today and it was.
Good pricing and fairly cheap shipping....I'd order from them again.

"Do not order from this company. I placed an order it wound up being the wrong item so i returned it. Their return policy is ridiculous. I contacted the returns dept, they gave me a different policy than the one listed on the website. I did EXACTLY what they instucted me to do for returning the item. And I have yet to get my refund. I keep getting the run around on the status of the return package. You have to pay for your on return shipping and you need a tracking number, just to ship it to them costed me $20. Was provided wrong tracking number then I was provided wrong delivery date. Only after delivery date had come and gone was I told that I would need to set up a delivery time for a coat rack! If I had known this I would never ordered the item. Customer service constantly provided me incorrect information."
