"Dropbox is fast and secure in file sharing, Dropbox's mobile app 's excellent, allowing access on the go, Dropbox's paid plans can be expensive for large storage needs "
"Our company has been using Dropbox for several years. We were looking for a new service in fact because we were tired of not being able to upload folders-only individual files-plus we always found it wouldn’t upload them all so we always had to go over every upload. That’s when we discovered they had been billing us over twice as much as what we had contracted for. They don’t have phone support and their email support is slow (expect a day to 3-4 days for each email response) plus they would not answer any questions with regard to why they had added 2 extra licenses and also why the bill was still higher than 5 user licenses even though we signed up for 3?? Also the unlimited is limited unless you contact them to add more space?? What’s that all about? After goofing around over a span of about 2 weeks we were told they would offer no refund and then a week later they charged us AGAIN at the same over double the 3 license rate. So here’s what we found as much better options. For those of you that can get by with smaller storage Google Drive offers 15 gigs free and several others offer 10 gigs. Dropbox is the stingiest with free space of all the competition at only 2 gigs. For big space users (we produce travel tv shows so we need lots of space) we found Box.com and Sync.com to easily best Dropbox."
"One of the first cloud services, always worked good but latest updates are increasing the size of the app and make it less practical, with more functions that go unnoticed. A service like this one should merge with the user interface without adding more value than the one is supposed to offer: cloud storage. Still a good service but falling behind Google Drive and iCloud."
"It just works! Installing it was super simple on my Mac. After I got it setup, working on group projects at school was so much easier than sending our ppts back and forth in email.
I've started using it to share some files with friends. I just can't believe I didn't use Dropbox before.
It was almost as easy on my phone. I had a problem getting that setup, but it turned out to be a security setting and now it works perfectly on my phone too."
"DropBox has NO customer service!
There is no customer service other than email and that SUCKS! It takes weeks to resolve anything that way. There is no way to contact a live person except for Business Sales and they are ass holes!
I have called the number for the corporate office several times and left a message—to no avail—I am simply ignored. The only option you get is business sales and they refuse to help or connect to corporate offices. They are very cavalier with their refusal to help and if you insist, they hang up on you. The email support is S-L-O-W. Each emails is responded to, but after 16-24 hours. The response is usually some token answer saturated with apologies for not having better service and asking for more information. I have been corresponding with two associates for over a week and I haven't even begun to get the situation resolved. I am kind of locked in to using Dropbox because many of my clients do—most of them equally frustrated with the lousy customer service.
DO NOT USE DROBPOX!!!
