"I have 2 boys ages 19 and 30. The thiry year old lives in Florida, the 19 year old in California. While shopping for a Christmas present for them I came across what I thought was going to be a great deal on a used Weber grill . I purchased the grill for the 19 year old but still undecided on a gift for our son in Florida. From the emails from Dyscern everything seemed to be going forward. A confirmation receipt was sent. With this assurance, after about 4 days, I decided on a new grill for my son in Florida from a different vendor. I was over extended on this purchase, but I thought that it would be great as we could all "compete" with our grilling recipes and have this common activity to share over the years. Needless to say I was more than disapointed when I received an email indicating that Dyscern did not have the grill any longer. After several emails back and forth, Dyscern's customer service pretty much indicated that they were sorry, but too bad. This would not have been such a bad thing if I had not made other financial commitments based on the assurance from Dyscern (invoice)that everything was on track. I could not afford another grill at full price so I suggested to Dyscern that with their buying power that they purchase a grill and I would purchase it from them at their cost. I explained that this would be a good compromise and nobody would get hurt. Needless to say, they did not agree. I am not happy at all with this company, but you be the judge. One more thing, this was a purchase through Amazon, apparently they belong to Amazon's Markeplace. "
"I purchased a high-end monitor but it never arrived, apparently lost during shipment. Recent web searches reveal that others have had similar experiences, funny that.
Communications on the transaction went from one extreme to the other. On the first day I received 5 (or was it 6?) messages from the seller, each clear, detailed and well written, announcing the progress of my order. A fine demonstration of marketplace management software at work.
Once the package went missing however I was then in the hands of humans in a “Customer Service unit”, somewhere in the world. The tone of the communications changed ‘we will get back to you within 24 business hours‘ (how quaint) and ‘everything will be alright’. What was missing was an apology for the inconvenience, and a clear statement of when a replacement unit, or a refund would be received.
Given the sellers silence on that front, I placed the matter in the hands of the eBay Resolution Center and within 48 hours received a full refund. Still no communication from the seller, and although there was no final monetary loss, there was significant inconvenience and time wasted. Could this company perhaps be using eBay’s resolution center instead of employing their own personnel to clear up problems?
Clearly it’s not like dealing with Amazon, and it’s a long way from ‘a five star experience’ "
"WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. SENT ME BOX MISSING PHONE AND BATTERY. IMPOSSIBLE FINDING PHONE NUMBER - CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS INDIRECT - STILL SEEKING REFUND WITH NO ANSWER. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM AT ANY COST."
"I had a great experience with Dyscern. I ordered a refurbished Wii, which was cosmetically impeccable when it arrived, both the box and the contents. Everything operated perfectly, and I have had no operating issues.
Communication was great throughout my order, including timely notification of my tracking information. I have been and will continue to recommend Dyscern to friends and family when they are shopping for deals on electronics.
My experience has been nothing but positive."
"I bought a Macbook that was listen as "Refurbished" through Dycern, but when the actual product got delivered. It was much worse then a used condition Macbook that I can find on Craigslist or Amazon. I paid $900 bucks for an item that were filled with stains, dents, and cracks. The worse part was that it would not boot up and the A/C charger cable would not stick. They basically sent me expensive paperweight.
I had to countless hours to trying to get the defective product return back to them. Please note in mind that their customer service department are trained to not talk to you about anything that has to do with returns. At least that's what they told me. They want everything to be done strictly through email. Their response time is horrible. It took them days just to reply to my inquiries and weeks to finally get the return lable from them. That was only because I had to get my brother in law whom is a government official involved.
Dycern is a horrible place to buy anything from. I would stay away from this place at all cost.

"Ordered a Nintendo Wii from this company on March 23. It was listed as an open-box system, which to me could have meant just about anything from scuffed and scraped to a nice unit. What I got was a system that looked as if it had never been out of the package. Every component was still wrapped in its factory skin and the only things to distinguish the system from brand new were the lack of shrinkwrap and the $50 savings.
It was packed professionally, shipped quickly, and arrived just a few days after I ordered. If it hadn't been for an inexplicable delay where it sat in a UPS sort facility for two days without moving (no, not a weekend) I would have been playing Mario Kart the same week as I ordered.
I would (and undoubtedly will) order from Dyscern again without a moment's hesitation. The money I saved on this one order will buy me at least a couple games for my kids."
"I ordered a Wii and received it 3 days later. It was in perfect condition but was missing the sports disc. When I emailed them they replied the next day and sent me a replacement disc. Excellent customer service response."
"Ordered an 8GB Ipod Touch, received in less than a week. Great communication, no problems at all. Will do business again with them, no doubt about it.

"HORRIBLE customer service. I asked for a refund 7 days ago and I still have not received the money in the bank. They also cancelled my order so I have not received the Itouch I paid $240 for. They stole my money. I am filing a dispute against them and I will be reporting this as a scam to the law enforcement."
"Completely a joke of a company. Sent me an OBVIOUSLY broken keyboard that, well, end up not working. Took about 4 emails from my end to even get an RMA for sending it back, in which a Sarmed Nisar "Customer Support Specialist" agreed on reimbursing me the shipping money, which would cost $25 (their RMA number is good only for 10 days). FOUR days after tracking said they signed for it and THREE emails getting on their tails for refunding my money, they finally refunded me the item cost. I sent TWO emails to ask about my reimbursement for shipping cost with no help. Attached the original email from this Sarmed genius stating the shipping reimbursement in an email sent to ****@**** and the sickest joke I ever heard, I get Sarmed's reply that he has to ask his Supervisor to see if that's even possible. I so WTF that I fell out of my chair. SARMED NISAR was the first guy who agreed to a reimbursement and now he has to ask for permission?!??!!? I don't even care about a dumb donkey keyboard. It's such a small deal blown to gigantic proportions because of idiots working at Dickcern. Here's the thing, DO NOT LET THESE PIMPLE SUCKING IDIOTS steal your money. We all know this trick all too well. They send you broken crap and hope that you won't go through the trouble to return it and then they get to keep your money. I'm sending Dyscern and this Sarmed hero very negative energy every night until I read in the newspaper that they tripped over themselves and landed their nuts on a curb in which the nuts rolled down the sewer."
"bought jawbone 2, it arrived in a cardboard box with the jawbone in a plastic bag without the advertised accessories. nobody answers their phone and after several emails there was a satisfactory response as they promised to have someone get back to me- who eventually did and they sent this missing items."
"Bought a Nintendo Wii at a very good price. It was advertised as an "open box" item, but i did receive the box. Along with everything it normally comes with. Good condition, can't find anything wrong with it. I saved about $62(plus free shipping in the USA)off normal price. Took 1 week to get."
"Ordered a Nintendo Wii, today I received a Wii Play. I wrote to their customer service, haven't heard back yet.. None too impressed, hopefully they fix it. If they do, I'll update this. "
"Found Dyscern while searching for 1st gen Zunes, was a tad skeptical since I couldn't find any information on them. Must be a new company. Anyhow, ordered a 30gb Zune from them for real cheap, it shipped and arrived very fast, packed securely, and they even threw in a free Zune skin. Would definitely buy from again.
Excellent site. If you're on the fence about them, don't be. Seem to be really upstanding. No information about their customer service because there was no need to contact them."
