No Customer Service

"Seriously, what's with companies showing 'in stock' on their online shopping yet so far from the truth. Order a part from ECS tuning online 25/09/2021 and paid for express priority international shipping. It's now 21/01/2022 and so nothing received. I've contacted the customer service team and been advised it could take up to 6 months for shipping because they've sent it via an economy provider! What the F?
Don't bother with this company there are so many others I had positive experience with (034 motorsport, IE), ECS tuning is not worth the headaches.

Feel completely scammed

"Ordered a part, took 2 weeks to make it to the next state. Now suddenly I'm being refunding 2/3s of my purchase price, and in over a month I can't get a rep in live chat, can't get an email response. Spent 3 hours on hold with no one in front of me, not a single person, between 1pm and 4pm, they never picked up. All I wanted was to know what was going on. Now I feel completely scammed. Terrible company avoid like the plauge."

every single time, I got wrong parts

I got horrible brake rooters from ECS
I came naked, broken box, and wrong size
And they refusing to pay back even I return these as per their instruction

Now days, It will not surprise me, when I got wrong parts or damaged from them
I order coolant cap, bur coolant tank came

But it was supplied, when wrong parts return which they made, I was asked to use original manufactures box even it camas naked
And they menace me if return parts damaged that is my responsibility even it came damaged

Abysmally BAD company

"They don't respond when you email (4X), it takes multiple tries to get through on the phone. The order takes forever to get to you (month even though it was "in stock") and the website is full of lies. My situation was I ordered exhaust brackets and they are very specific for my BMW muffler. What I ordered and received weren't the same thing. The picture on there website was not accurate at all, and somehow they think that's my fault! So please don't do business with this horrible company, use FCP Euro, Amazon, the dealer, or anyone else really. "

"Bought thousands of dollars from ECS Tuning after waiting for an hour John hung up on me for using the f word at the situation not him and I explained that to him before I use the F-word she was really rude and it **** me off simply all I wanted is for them to fix the problem they didn't load the credits that I paid for haven't been able to drive my car for 5 days"

Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with in my 35 years in the automotive business!

"Ordered a few products on the eighth they said it would ship on the ninth. No it’s the 13th they say it should ship today. Talk to someone on the chat line and ask them if the product was going to ship today they don’t even respond! I don’t know how they stay in business everyone of our customer service people lie."

Heresy

"I a 2011 GTI that I built with parts from this website.

Most of the orders went well however I had received some defective items as well as not revice several packages. Fed ex said it was confirmed and I didn't get it and they in many words told me they could not go on heresy.

I never received or heard anything about those items totalling to about $300

However the final nail in the coffin is they charged me $213.23 now for a order I placed over 2 months ago.

They seem to have the best website for go fast parts on German cars however there are some abysmally loose ends within this company, and thus I advise anyone reading this not to trust them.

Excellent as always.

"I’ve had my 06 Audi A4 since 08, ordered from them multiple, multiple times since then. Just got a 14 Q5 TDI on Feb 5th. On Feb 9th, order 2 items for my Q5, expected ship date was Feb 18th. Received one package on Feb 13th, the other on Feb 15th. Never had a single problem with any facet of their business, from buying/shipping to customer support, technical advice, and warranty replacements (specifically their LEDs which have a lifetime warranty)."

bad service, false advertisement on the website

"no it wont ship out in 2 days, unless your lucky then maybe it will.
but when you needed the parts urgently like i did, go else where and dont take your chance.
mine ended up arriving after 8 days. also called them and had a bad experience with the dude who receives phone calls.
i might have called the wrong department he want customer service minded kind of guy

NEVER AGAIN

"I ordered a camshaft from ECS on 11 May 2020.

When I placed my order it showed that it is in stock and will ship in 2 days.
After I placed my order, I waited for two days and the Order Status showed that I was required to contact customer services myself (instead of they contacting me)

I contact the CS, I was told that the camshaft I order was an old model. For the same camshaft, now I need to order another KIT SET which cost a double, namely $7xx one.

I told them I knew that the camshaft is exactly the same and most importantly, it is in stock when I placed my order.
The CS tell me bluntly "No it wasn't"

I request the CS to honor the order by shipping the OLD model to me anyway as it appears that their inventory system seems to have error
Once again a brutal reply by simply saying "No"

One Star for at least I was allowed to cancel my order

Would not adjust for deefective bolts

"VAICO Valve Cover Complete assembly with gaskets & hardware. Placed on my BMW engine, very tight fit. However could not tighten all bolts. 9 of the 24 bolts supplied with cover were defective. Torx head on these bolts were malformed. Other bolts were fine. Had to removed cover, removed defective bolts with rubber hammer and replace with good bolts. Also stock cover had brass inserts for flange machine bolts. This cover just had holes in plastic, had to purchase self tapping bolts to install flange. Once installed, it worked fine. Would not buy again. Shipped part box said "Made in China", no quality control, you might get a good one or a bad one like me. ECS stonewalled requests for adjustment, and would not post this review."

Selling poor quality parts and not refunding for bad part

"I bought a thermostat assembly for Audi A4 from ECS Tuning, the shipped part has large opening in the middle of the mating flanges, and it leaked. I called them, they convinced me the problem was with that one part, so they ordered another part and shipped to me. They charged me again for the replacement part and promised to refund me once they received the bad part. I sent the bad part back to them. I installed the second part and a year later, that part was not working any more. In the process I found out that they never refunded me the bad part, so I ended up paying twice for the same part that only lasted a year.

I contacted them, they refused to refund the money, and I emailed their manager and received no response.

"I bought a Splitter for My VW. Paid a lot. Looked like it was dragged against something.
Poor packaging. Called the company (2 employees). He took it back, but banged me for a 20% restocking fee. Bad look. Avoid ESE.

Way overpriced

"They may have good parts for the enthusiast, but frankly their prices are high and you can do better elsewhere. As a professional mechanic, albeit a one-man shop, their wholesale qualifications are absolutely ridiculous. I am fully equipped to service VW, Audi, BMW and Porsche and have worked on these cars for nearly 46 years. I have a dedicated building on my farm acreage, have more tools than any mechanic I know plus some specialty VW/Porsche air-cooled tools that almost no one has and have wholesale accounts with NAPA and other local auto parts stores, as well as accounts with other online parts stores. Not these guys--they were really snotty about their standards. This means if I were to buy parts from them, I would have to pay full retail, meaning I either make up the lost profit by charging more, or I buy elsewhere. I was basically told they don't need my business because they make so much elsewhere....I won't screw my customers, so I buy elsewhere."
