"We enjoyed it up until the recent incidents when many members of staff started leaving. So, from September to early October everything was very positive. From October to now it has been much more difficult and unnerving."
"Very caring environment for our children."
"Jonny lily and nasrin are wonderful"
"Downhill since the current administrator took over. I would have left if my daughter was not heading to kindergarten this year. There has been clearly a focus on more recruiting additional families instead of hiring teachers all to the detriment of students already at the school. Administrator told me specifically that recruitment is focused on the younger rooms since there are fewer pre-k kids interested in school. Nasrin, Josh, and Jeanne are amazing teachers. All negative experience is directed at the administrator. Asking parents at the last minute to possible pick children up early is unacceptable and has happened too often this year. I appreciate how the regional person stepped in, but am waiting for actual changes and results at the school."
"Generally, I like the majority of the other instructors when we interact in the main drop-off room where children of all ages are. I do like the food options provided. I just wish there was more encouragement from my child's instructor to my child to eat and stay focused on the task. Other than that, the facility is generally clean."
"Overall a great place both of pur kids have loved it there. The quality of the education and academic curriculum delivery has decreased a lot due to lack of teachers and coverage issues. Many close family friends have left the center due to this ongoing concern."
"I have had three children at Everbrook, and I really love this school. My kids are known, appreciated, and respected. And loved. Their teachers have coached them (and me) through milestones (crawling! walking! potty training! writing!) and really helped them develop. They are flexible and accommodating to our preferences and quirks (both the kids and the parents) while maintaining high standards. The oldest has developed a huge passion for science based on all she's learned. I've found the teachers and administrators to be very responsive. There's a wonderful sense of community. I love all the activities they get to do--summer water play, preschool prom, music time, sensory experiments, field trips. We came from a sprawling suburban daycare/preschool with its own playground, so I was a little apprehensive about the whole outdoor-classroom and walking-to-community-parks aspect of urban daycares, but they do it so safely, and the kids have a great time engaging with the community."
"Very happy with the program overall. The staff is lovely."
"I really love all the teachers. They are very engaging and caring and make everything great. Overall I am very happy with the school and very much appreciate all the hard work the teachers put in everyday."
"I have three children attending Everbrook, and we love it! My children are learning so much, and get so much caring, focused attention at developing their minds and hearts and bodies. I love all the creative and fun activities my kids get to do. I love that they come home singing songs and full of science ideas. I love that they are rigorous with health and safety and flexible enough to accommodate what's best for each individual child. It is so much more than a childcare facility--it's a family."
"very positive, especially when ownership changed to everbrook as the other owners were crazy, but continuity of Emily and now Holly as well as Nasrin has been absolutely key."
"We love Everbrook Academy (Washington Sqaure), and feel so grateful for the love, support and care of the teachers."
"We have loved being part of the Everbrook family! It is a special place with devoted teachers who genuinely strive to create an exceptional (and fun) learning environment for our kids!"
"Amazing teachers, great responsiveness and my child loves going to school every day."
"Here is a representative example: A day or two before the first day in the daycare, there is a (virtual) meeting of the parents with the teacher, so the transition of the kid into class will go more smoothly. I think it is very unprofessional if the teacher is not interested at all in the child and do not ask basic things about her, like what she likes/dislike, if there are things that can calm her when she is upset, if she communicate in someway or have specific signs that help understand her needs, etc. To answer parents' questions is important, but teachers need to show (and not only to show!) that they care for the specific child. Not showing interest in the child individuality, reflect a state of mind that kids are similar objects that just needed to be handled. This behavior reflects directly on the school, and the Everbrook network."
