"I recently installed the Ez rebel 5 on my kingfisher 3025 and I don’t know how I lived without one of these drum pullers. I used 30ft of half inch anchor chain,300ft of half inch anchor line and a backing of 200ft of 3/8 spectra line and it fits with some extra room. Install was EZ and there is plenty of power to hand pulling all the line anchor chain and 22lb Bruce anchor from he depths. So far so good with this product I cannot wait to use it more in the future. I will be recommending this to all my charter buddies. Thanks for a great product.

"The winch itself works great! Needs a fairlead to work properly on a pontoon houseboat! One was not offered to us. Don't see a way to put one on. One other part came with it, not the answer, one other part was purchased seperately, not the answer either. Needs a fairlead!"

"We had the retractable anchor coupled with a HERO drum anchor installed on our 2023 Harris Tritoon. The system works great and is easy to use. The anchor and drum attach under the deck so you don't lose space or have a tripping hazard on the boat. Another added benefit is that the anchor (and dirt/mud) never are always under the boat which helps keep the deck clean. Finally, the customer service was excellent. EZ anchor looked at the tritoon spacing schematics to make sure the system would fit before we ordered it. I highly recommend this company and product."

"Okay, first of all I love this anchor puller....when it works properly, which is about 90% of the time. The problem with it is that the rope can get jammed on the drum and then the anchor is stuck. Trying to dislodge it is almost impossible. The anchor tucks almost completely under the front deck of my pontoon, so it is inaccessible from above. Once the rope gets stuck, trying to get it unstuck is impossible without getting in the water and swimming under the boat to pull on the rope to dislodge it while someone else works the switch up and down. This is okay in the middle of summer when the water is swimmable, but in the early and late season when the water is cold there is no solution but to pull the boat out of the water and work on the problem on shore, climbing under the pontoon, between the trailer guides which is not easy for this 70 yo man! Also, the circuit breaker trips very easily and that is a pain in the **** to have to go flip back in position. I know it is there to protect the electric motor, but it really seems to trip easily. But, as I said, when this thing is working, it is a limb saver. I just can't deploy and pull a 30 lb anchor any more. So, love it...but with some aggravation."
