"Over-priced, super low internet speed. Regarding their automated phone messages, they have two options:
Option 1: "Press 1, if you want to buy or upgrade your service" estimated waiting time: 2 seconds
Option 2: "Press 2, if you want to cancel or having questions regarding your current account" estimated waiting time: UNKNOWN (guaranteed for more than 2 hours waiting but still unknown)
Please do not waste your TIME and your MONEY by signing a contract with them. All they care about is your money and charging you more and more "
"EarthLink buyer beware: If you are considering going with EarthLink based on one of their promotions, get it in writing and hold on to it.
I signed up with EarthLink after receiving a flyer in the mail. After a week of confirming the offer and signing up with them I threw the flyer away.
I received the welcome package but the router was mailed separately. After 15 days I called to find out what was the delay, they gave me a song and dance about not being able to keep my existing number and that I would need to sort it out with MCI. They decided to deactivate my account in the meantime since I did not want my number changed.
MCI told me that there is no reason why I could not keep my phone number. Then EarthLink blamed it on a Verizon issue and that I would have to speak to them or switch to Verizon so that I can maintain the number.
After switching service EarthLink presented me with a whole new package that was now time limited, at a higher price, with less service and additional fees.
I opted on paying $20 dollars more for a provider who is not deceitful."
