"Excellent Prices, Customer Service & White Glove Delivery!!!"
"Got a great price on a 46" Samsung LED TV but don't believe their availability on the web site ("usually in 24-48 hours"). It took 2 weeks to get my TV, and when I called to see what was going on a week after placing my order, the rep lied and told me it had shipped, even though I didn't get a shipping notice til a few days later.
Also the rep was rude - I had used a coupon code for 10% off, and apparently I wasn't eligible for it. When I asked why the site let me use it, he said 'well just because you can steal from a store doesn't mean you should.' ?!?!?!"
"I love my TV awesome picture will continue to by the rest of my TVs from Easr Coast TV's."
"I have not had any trouble with the television we purchased so far we love it. The cost of it was below most available for that model. Ordering was easy and information before purchasing was readily available. And it was delivered when promised. But that is where it all went "south". When the delivery boy arrived at my house he told me it would be extra to bring it up the stairs. Origanally I requested curbside delivery because I knew I had 3 strong men in my family to help bring it up. But my salesman talked me into the "whiteglove" delivery so it could be carried inside and set up to make sure it worked and was not damaged in transit, so I agreed to PAY the extra to receive it. I thought they boy was joking at first........WRONG.......He made himself quite clear that he would not bring it upstairs if I did not pay extra.....By now I was very upset.....I told him just to refund me the extra I paid and to leave it at the curbside......Or leave it in the truck and take it back.....I will admit after going back and forth with this young man I was not real nice. It only got worst from there....... When I called Steve my salesman to tell him the problem I was having with the delivery boy he totally went off on me and acted like it was my fault I expected them to deliver what I had paid for. So much for the customer is always right......He was ride and lacked understanding. I am 53 years old and never have I had an experience as such. I would have to think really hard before ordering from East Coast TV's again."
"Nice TV, good price, terrible service!
I ordered a Sansung Series 8 LED HDTV on 11/20/11 on-line through East Coast TV. The ad offered a discount of 5% for cash (discount code DSC-5). Onto that order I included a 3-pack of HDMI cables for $40.00 and signed up for shipping at $39.00. I got a call back later the same day from East Coast and the guy tried everything he could to get me to use my credit card, which would have negated my discount of $30.78, and to get me to switch to FEDEX shipping for an additional $60.00. I stuck with the discount price by paying cash, but he convinced me to switch to FEDEX shipping by telling me the shipping time was ridiculous, and reducing the original $150 FEDEX shipping cost to $99.00. That upped my shipping costs by 60 bucks. He told me all I had to do was have a certified money order for the correct amount to present to FEDEX upon delivery. I got the certified money order at the bank the next day ..... and waited, and waited.
On Wednesday (11/30/11) I called about order number 13653, and was informed me that my order had not been shipped due to a lack of payment. I was told on the date when I placed the order (11/20) that all I needed was a money order or certified check for COD delivery via FEDEX. I got the Money Order the very next day and waited arrival. One week later I called and spoke with East Coast about the status of my order, and was told that you never ship COD to Maryland. They then advised me on 11/30 that they would ship as soon as you got the money order. I sent the money order via FEDEX Overnight Delivery the very next day (01DEC) to the address they gave me, and even marked "Attn Mike" on the envelope, as requested. I checked the status of my order a few days later (12/5) and saw that it was still "being processed", so I went to FEDEX and tracked the delivery with FEDEX tracking # 795461492552. FEDEX shows that the package (my check) arrived in Union NJ on Friday (12/2), but that the envelope was not deliverable due to the business not being open. Attempts to deliver the package over the weekend showed the same result, as did Monday Dec 5. I called on Tuesday (12/6)and complained that I was no closer to getting my product than I was on November 20th. I was assured that they had my check, and that the TV would be shipped in a matter of hours. That was Tuesday. The on-line order status showed "being processed" for the remainder of the week. I called several times, and was finally told on Thursday afternoon that the order had shipped. FEDEX confirmed that the order was picked-up after 5PM on Thursday afternoon. I never got a confirmation from East Coast, as they advertised they would. The TV showed up on late Saturday afternoon.... without any cables.
By the time I got my TV I was so disgusted with East Coast's service clowns that I was ready to scream. Their attitude throughout the entire process was that I screwed up by following their initial instructions. I know what I was told, and that is exactly what I did. When I complained about the delay, they made sure that TV took it's good old time getting shipped. In the mean time, the HDMI cables I ordered somehow dropped off the order. So I had to go and buy retail cables for triple the cost.
I would never again buy anything from these guys. They are AMATEURS, who have no concept of customer service.
Thanks for the opportunity to voice my extreme displeasure with East Coast TV.
Responding to East Coast TVs Response
Thanks for pointing out that the entire customer service issue was in fact my fault. I guess I still think the customer should be able to have a decent buying experience without jumping through your hoops. Still, you provided a great example of how I was not smart enough to buy a tv without any problems. I also want to thank you for calling my cell phone 12 additional times after I told you I did not care to speak with you.
Rationalize it all you want. Bottom line is that I am not happy about my East Coast TVs buying experience, and not impressed with your efforts to fix it.

"I love this TV! It was the best price anywhere on the 92" TV."
"Great product, awesome price on the tv I purchased. There were some shipping mix ups but east coast made it right without hassle or more expense on my part. I recomend the company. "
"Easy ordering online and customer service was great. "
"The entire process went smoothly as expected. The shippment of my 70 inch TV arrived in a reasonable time even though it was at peak of the Holidays. The tracking of the shipment location was not available once the item was in transit, but I was contacted by the freight company just a few days of the TV arrival.
Good service and price!"
"I was skeptical at first, but they had by far the best price on a mitsubishi 92 inch. They also had great service and shipping."
"Bought a 70' Sharp 3D from East Coast. The price was fantastic, best on the Internet and beat the local brick and mortars by over $600.
The initial purchase was made on 1/8. I got an email notice the item had shipped on 1/10. Using the tracking info I received I found the item really shipped on 1/12. Nothing changed at all on (AM Delivery) tracking data until I got a call on 1/17 to arrange delivery on 1/18. While the time to deliver was not bad, the tracking information was. I suggest AM Delivery join us in the 21st century.
East Coast did a mild sales pitch for the "White Glove" delivery at an added cost of $69 I believe. When I kindly rejected the offer a lower offer was made. When the lower offer was rejected the free "threshold" service was explained and accepted. I never like those pitches but at least this one was done respectfully and abandoned well before high pressure.
All in all my reluctance to buying a huge expensive TV froma vendor I never heard of, shipped with an independent trucking firm, we unfounded. East Coast did a great job and had the best price.
The only minor issue I have is a statement in the faq on sales "Our prices are too low to offer any further discounting". Right after my order they offered a "2% off sale". Argh!"
"Ordered a 70inch sharp. Guys on the phone were near of the pushy mind set "its not what the customer wants. Its what I want to give you to get you off the phone". White glove delivery were some hired hands out of a rented u haul truck, their delivery time was off by about 5-6 hours, they scheduled a mid day delivery and showed up at around 8pm to my door. My mounting was shipped on the next month only when i called to ask where it was. Again the guy on the phone said "yea yea yea its on its been shipped thanks bye". Two minutes later I get a tracking number and an invoice with the same date that I called to inquire about it. Originally when purchasing the order they removed my 2% discount, fine print said I had to mail them a paycheck. They also charged me an additional 1% to do white glove delivery. Originally I started my TV price at $2400, when all was said and done I ended up at about 2850. In conclusion I could've gotten a better experience and a better price at best buy, which says absolutely nothing about what these wise guys are offering. The only benefit that came out of this is that I had to make no refund or return attempt to them. Ceveat emptor."
