" So when I bought my used Subaru from Eastside I was only given one key, with the promise I would get the second key when I picked up my license plates a few weeks later. When I picked up the plates, nobody knew anything about this 2nd key, I had to tell the service desk this story, they sent me to wait in line at the parts department, and only then was the great parts dept worker able to call over to the used car dept and figure out what had happened: no one had ordered this key. The parts staff ordered me a key, and said they would call when it got in. When I got the call that the key was in, I thought that was it...but when I called back I was told I needed a service appt, and they were booked out almost a full month, so I just took the first available almost another whole month out. When I arrived to my service appointment, I was shown a bill for $199 for this 2nd key, that I was supposed to get weeks ago as part of the sale for my car. This caused some consternation, and they called over to the sales rep who sold me my car (thank goodness he was working that day), and he had to drive over from across the street to verify my story that yes, this was indeed my promised 2nd key. I was then told that it would take approx 30 minutes to get the key cut and programmed, but when I came back from a walk 30 minutes later, it ended up taking another half hour before I was able to leave Eastside Subaru, hopefully never to return. They did give me a free Beary clean Brown Bear car wash for all that trouble."
"There are too many steps to navigate the site in order to find the right part, and the website is graphically confusing. Also, the pricing is unclear -- the part was listed as $101, then when I added it to my cart it dropped to $86, then it was $96 with shipping and handling, then on the next screen it was $106 including tax, and the final price was $99.65. I don't see why it wasn't possible to provide a more accurate final price right at the beginning -- seems sketchy that it changes with each screen."
