"We ordered 2 remote key fobs and 1 replacement valet key for our 2012 Honda CR-V. once received only one of the remotes would program to open the doors. We took all 3 keys to a locksmith to be cut which cost $25 per key. We then brought all three to the Honda dealer to be programed for the ignition. The Honda dealer was able to program the Valet key but not the remote key fobs and they told us that aftermarket key fobs cannot be programed for Honda vehicles. We spent $79.98 for these plus the cost of cutting the keys and except for the valet key they are only good for opening the doors manually."

"I ordered a key for my Honda Accord. Had the key cut at a local locksmith. The instructions for programming the new key were fine. However, Keyfobs.com does not tell you that the programming is only good for locking/unlocking the doors and opening the trunk, not starting the car. The chip inside the key must be programmed to the car so it will start the engine. I had to take the key to the Honda Dealer who charged me $85.00 to program the chip. This was an expense I was not prepared for nor was I told by keyfobs.com that the chip must be programmed separately. I emailed keyfobs.com, to complain about not being told the chip had to programmed and they have not responded to my complaint. Be careful when you buy a key from keyfobs.com. You may have to pay extra expenses (like I did) that they will not tell you about before you complete your order. Their customer service department has ignored my email to them. "
"I ordered a replacement keyfob and received the replacement 3 days later. I read the instructions and thought the 6 steps were going to be difficult. I reread the instructions and then went outside to try to program the new keyfob. I was successful on the first attempt and was finished within one minute. I tested the new fob and my old one and everything was fine. I would recommend this product."
