"Ekomi is NOT protecting our company against malicious reviews as stated on their homepage. According to Ekomi anyone can leave a review for any reason and they will refuse to help your company dispute it. I have asked for help with 3 separate reviews and Ekomi has flat out REFUSED to help every single time. We strongly suggest you consider another company for customer reviews."
"Stay way from e-Komi. Un-ethical business practices. Falsifying during the sales process. Software lacks functionality. Doesn't want to make up for their errors. Rigid terms amidst lack of functionality.
We signed up with your service somewhere in October 2015. When we were signing up for e-Komi, to the best of my knowledge, the sales rep mentioned that this is a month to month service. I wouldn't have signed up if I heard otherwise. At the time of signing up, we were with Volusion platform and we were considering the move to Bigcommerce. I was also told by the sales rep that e-Komi will work seamlessly with Bigcommerce.
Had I read the agreement closely when I signed the agreement, I would not have trusted the word of your sales rep at that time.
What's more disappointing is that we were re-signed for another year in 2016. We never receive an email letting us know that we were going to be re-committed to another one year.
Over the past few months, I realized it is important to have a strong UGC base, and with e-Komi's lack of functionality and response, I have decided to change the platform to another service. When I contacted their support team, they told me that I cannot cancel the service until November 2017 and I have to pay for the reviews collected.
I find this has put us, the customer, in a disadvantaged and unfair situation:
1. When we set up e-komi, we were told that your software would work well with Bigcommerce and this is not the case.
2. I also find your rep being dishonest by saying it is a month to month, but charging us for continual annual commitments without our consent, which is very unfair (even though it is my duty to read the contract before signing)
3. I also find re-signing for another one year term when the first year finished to be extremely unfair as well.
4. I find their policy to be rigid about terms and conditions amidst the lack of functionality of your software.
5. They never apologized, accepted or made up for falsifying during the sales process.
6. Wrote a letter to the CEO Michael Ambrose, it doesn't look like it got to him unless he decided not to respond. "

Ekomi's "system" promotes positive ratings and surpresses negative ones.
The consequense is that a company can get a much higher rating than they honestly have deserved, all within ekomi's "system" as its not waterproof. "
"eKomi removes most of the negative reviews to help their customers keep a 4 or 5 star rating.
I entered a negative review for a company through eKomi and eKomi kept me held up in the mediation process indefinitely so that my review was never posted.
Consumers beware - do not trust reviews issued by eKomi!!"
