“The order was placed 5/14/14 - two weeks prior to the review - and the customer was informed at the time of the order (order was taken by me, Shaun, over the phone) that the products were backordered due to overwhelming demand. We also said we were not sure exactly when the products would be in, but that we would ship out immediately - the same day - that we received the backordered filters. I stated that we hoped they would be in within the next week or two.
I then spoke with the customer's husband on the telephone again on the 23rd. I told the customer that we could fully refund the order and place it on hold until the product arrived. At that point, once the product was packaged, we could recharge and ship the product to the customer. The customer agreed to this. We promptly refunded the customer at the same time as the phone call (May 23) took place. Unique Transaction ID #3FK06162AE7861606
We have been a PayPal professional merchant since 2005, with 0 chargebacks. It looks like for some reason the refund did not show up as quickly as it should have on customer's credit card statement, so customer or her husband was alarmed and left this review.
I spoke with the customer and her husband on the 29th and also sent an email showing that the refund was fully processed on our side as promised at the time of our previous conversation. On that same day, the 29th, we finally received word from the manufacturer that the units had been shipped to us and we would receive them Monday - June 2. On the same day that we received the units from the manufacturer, we shipped out this customer's order along with nearly all of our other orders that had been waiting to ship. Customer was sent the USPS tracking number for her free 2-day Priority Mail shipping. Customer should receive order tomorrow (June 4). Hopefully this review can be updated by customer at that time to reflect these facts.”
