"Let me tell you my tale of woe dealing with Electrified. On 26 April 2006, I called to see if they had a replacement lamp in stock for Benq 8700. After a short time away from the phone, the voice assured me that they did indeed have the desired item in stock. I expressed my wish to place an order and was told to do that through the web site which I did.
After a wait of about 10 days, I called to check on the status. I was told it was backordered. I explained that, before I ordered, I called to verify that the item was in stock. I was told those words meant that "When we said it was in stock, it was in stock at the manufacturer." I could not believe that the guy on the other end could be saying this with a straight face!
Totally dismayed, I asked when to expect delivery. It was always "soon – you will have a tracking number in a few days." More time and more calls to Electrified with pretty much the same story. Late in May, I was told that the item had already been delivered to my home. When I checked the tracking number, I found that an item had been deliverd to someone in another state. Another call revealed that the tracking number was incorrect. Finally after more than a month, I cancelled the order and requested a credit to PayPal. Electtrified emailed me a credit memo, but of course no refund ever appeared in my PayPal account. Hence, I file a dispute with PayPal. That got action and finally I received credit on 6 June.
That ends my last story about dealing with Electrified.
