Today's update: Called customer service again, still didn't get to talk to anyone. It just let me leave another message. I haven't heard a reply back yet. Will keep everyone posted as soon as I do hear back from them.
*update: I never got a call back from my messages, but after another repeat try to customer service I was able to talk with someone and got a RA number.
I guess this would be the standard, but now I have to package, pay for shipping and wait. I paid quite a bit extra for fast shipping the first time around. So I would say I might be a repeat customer if they take note of that and ship the replacement accordingly. Based on my experience so far it probably will be a long wait along with the lowest grade return shipping. Eh, I guess that just goes along with buying online.
Anyway I will update when, and how long it takes to get the replacement, and if the new bulb is of the same quality or not.
So I have gotten an invoice in the email today, 4/15. Once I receive the replacement I will change my evaluation. It seems like after the initial problem getting someone from customer service everything has went smoothly...well besides being out the cost of return shipping I suppose...and the long wait. They definitely didn't send it the way I originally paid for shipping...they went the cheap route.
Well, new bulb came....won't work right out of the box! I don't even want to think about going through the return process again. Obviously this company supplies an inferior product...lesson learned I guess...an expensive one! Please steer clear.
P.S. - Isn't it strange how all the great reviews on this site seem to be pretty generic, and more like an advertisement. "Packaged well, in stock, and great experience...will return!" Those are the reviews at the top of the list.
So I repeat: TWO DEFECTIVE LAMPS IN A ROW. They DO NOT renew your warranty with a new lamp, and they REFUSE to pay return shipping. If you paid extra for fast shipping, the replacement WILL NOT HONOR that, you will get it very slowly...and it will most likely fail on you again.
So far, everything included I've paid about $10/hr to run my lamp."
