"Bought a NEW Garmin 2597LMT from Electrobrands through newegg. I did not even know I was buying from Electrobrands, I thought I was dealing with newegg. I received a refurbished model instead. When I called newegg, I was told I had to complain to Electrobrands. When I called, I received a message that they were no longer taking phone calls and I would be contacted by them if I emailed them. Three days later they offered me a 5 year warranty if I would keep the product. To end this situation I agreed. I then turned on the GPS and tried to update the map, and the device froze. It is unusable. After 13 days, and about 6 hours of frustration dealing with newegg and Electrobrands , I have no GPS, no money, and no satisfaction. DO NOT BUY FROM Electrobrands or newegg."
"This company has sold me a Samsung Tablet Note 10.1 2014 32 GB black as a new tablet. I contacted Samsung Customer care and they informed me that it is a refurbished tablet with only a 90 warranty. This seller is either fraudulent or naive. Stay away to be sure which."
"Never ever buy from these people. I ordered a brand new iPod Touch (big mistake) and received a used one in a box scotch taped at either end whose owner decided to get rid of it and dump it on an unsuspecting buyer.
Horrible to deal with and no business ethics. Keep offering this 5 year warranty if I agree to keep it. "
"Order placed on 9/3/2013. Was e-mailed (a guy named "Stanley") 8 hours later asking me to call regarding my recent order. I spoke to "Stanley" on 9/4 and was told they were out of stock of the Tab but he had a "new" one in his showroom that he would send me if I agreed which I did not. He also said they had a shipment of new Tabs coming in that Friday (9/6) and that when they came in he would FedEx one to me via 2nd Day Air AND would include a 5-year warranty. Two hours after speaking to Stanley I received another e-mail from Newegg saying that my order had shipped which is funny because I thought Stanley said they were out of stock and wouldn't have new ones until Friday. The FedEx tracking number only showed that the shipment had been created but even after 9/6 it still did not show as shipped. I called Stanley on 9/6 and was told that there must have been an error in their warehouse and that sometimes the FedEx drivers don't properly update the delivery status or scan them out, some b.s. like that. On 9/10 and 9/11 there was still no proof that the product had shipped. I called again on 9/11 and Stanley told me that the product had shipped and finally the FedEx tracking number updated to show that the package had shipped but it said that it didn't actually ship until 9/11, days after I spoke with them the first time and was told that a brand-new Tab was going to be shipped to me via 2nd Day delivery on 9/6/2013. I received the package on 9/13 and the contents did not look new at all. I contacted Samsung directly and they confirmed that it was not a refurbished item but may have been a return item that was repackaged. There was no UPC code on the box it was packaged in and the user's manual inside looked like it had been thoroughly used. At this time I contacted Newegg to report the issue and request that they process a refund on my behalf. They forwarded my request the ElectroBrands and I was put in contact with Terry asking what the issue was with my product. I explained my concern and was told a prepaid return label would be e-mailed to me. Terry told me the label was e-mailed on 9/18 but I never received it until 9/23 because they needed my direct e-mail address instead of going through the Newegg server. I packaged and shipped the product back on 9/24 as directed. They received the return on the morning of 9/30 and I e-mailed asking when I can expect my refund. I was told it can take 24-48 hours (from Gary this time). Finally, on 10/4, Terry processed the refund and on 10/7 it posted to my account. Granted, throughout the entire process they were always polite but overall this has been a very poor experience. I originally thought I was buying from Newegg so be careful when ordering and make sure you research the seller before going through the Newegg marketplace. Sorry this is so long but I want people to be aware of what happened."
"STAY AWAY FROM ELECTROBRAND IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY!!! I ordered a camera from Rakuten.com (formerly Buy.com) and was told ElectroBrand would ship it and it was "in stock". One business day later, I got an e-mail from ElectroBrand to call them and to ask for "Stanley". So I did. This fellow said the product is "out of stock" but they can ship me a "showroom unit" and give me a five-year warranty on top of it. I checked with Rakuten.com immediately and they showed the item "in stock". Long story short, I saw the reviews on this site, and about "Stanley", and cancelled my order. I then got an e-mail from ElectroBrand from a "Terry" who actually wrote to me that a showroom item (opened and perhaps sitting for weeks or months on a shelf and handled by hundreds of hands, dropped, buttons pushed, etc ...) is a "NEW" camera. Don't buy anything from ElectroBrand."
"Terrible!! I purchased a Toshiba tablet from Electrobrands. The next day I received a shipping confirmation with an expected delivery date. A few days later, I was contacted by Stanley and was told that my item never shipped and their company was out of stock...eventhough they still had their Amazon listed up saying 8 tablets were in stock. I was told they would be getting shipments in on certain dates, and they never received the shipments. I was ;promisedthe item would be in my possession by the 25th...empty promises. I was given the runaround more times that I can count. Terry threw in $30 back and a 5 yr warranty. I was also told by the company my credit card would not be charged until the tablet shipped. However, they charged me on the date of purchase for an item they didn't even have. Finally, I received the item more than 3 weeks after the purchase date. However, there was a hole cut out of the instruction manual, unable to register the tablet with Toshiba, and the warranty number was invalid. They assured me the tablet was brand new and never sold and then returned. I contacted Electrobands and was highly offended by their rude response saying they were tired of dealing with me, and no longer wanted to correspond with me. I was appalled by the way they spoke to me when all I did was attempt to inquire about the problems I was having. Very unorganized and unprofessional. I would never do repeat business with Electrobrands. "
"What a horrible company! I ordered a camera through Amazon and it was shipped by Electrobrands. When we could not use the delete feature within a month of purchase, we sent it to Nikon, assuming that it was under warranty. We were informed by Nikon that it was a refurbished camera. When we contacted Electrobrands we were told that according to their records the camera was NEW. When we senr them the statement from Nikon, they told us that that they never sold that camera of course we had the paperwork to back up our claim. To make the story short, we had to contact the upper management of Amazon to resolve this problem and we did get a refund. Electrobrands sent us an e mail implying that we bought a used camera somewhere else and were trying to get money from them and only because of the pressure put on them by Amazon that they were refunding the money.!!! What a nerve!!!
Never buy from Electrobrands."
"Nikon Coolpix S8000 Camera
I purchased the above camera in December 2011 from Electrobrands. We used the camera just 3 times before the camera screen started bleeding. I notified Electrobrands in June 2012 to ask for a replacement camera. They notified me that it had been too long and that I should use the Sony warranty that came with the camera. I sent the camera to Sony and several seeks later they advised me that since the camera was a refurbished item, they would be unable to fix the camera under the warranty. Since I specifically purchased a new camera from Electrobrands and was obviously sold a refurbished camera, I again contacted Electrobrands and asked for a refund. They stated that would not issue a refund because it had been too long. By now of course we are reaching August 2012. Since I had an extended warranty I sent the camera to, Safco Service since the warranty came with the camera. After several emails to Safco I was given instructions to send the camera to them for repair.
After waiting about 2 months I contacted them and they advised me that they could not fix it themselves and sent it out for repair. Now another month goes by and I get a replacement camera from some company in Miami, FL. Of course, it;s a different camera than the one I sent to them AND it has a totally different problem; the lens cap does not stay open.
So again, I contacted Safco and sent the 2nd damaged camera back to them for servcie. After waiting a couple of more months and several emails, I asked whether I would have the camera back by Christmas; of course, that did not happen. Finally after several more threatening emails to take them to court, they finally sent yet another camera to me; minus a battery; so I couldn't even start the camera....more emails and I finally got a battery and guess what?...the camera will not charge the battery! So I buy a battery charger and charge the battery. Not the battery works and the camera starts! amazing!...well not so much...
I can run the camera, but the reason the battery did not charge is that the port in the camera is damaged, so not only does the camera not charge, I can't use the cable to pull the pictures off of the camera! This makes the camera just about worthless!
So now it's early February 2013 and I have been able to use my camera a total of 3 times since December 2011.
DO NOT BUY FROM ELECTROBRANDS OR HAVE CAMERA SERVICED BY SAFCO SERVICE. BOTH ARE RIP OFF ARTISTS!"
"bought on amazon, a viewsonic PJD5123 SVGA DLP digital projector, $308, got email immediately after placing order, wast told to call stanley. stanley wanted to give me a deal, didn't have one, we had hundreds of them yesterday but blew them right out of the warehouse (I BET!) and he had one that's been in the showroom and it's got evertything but no box and all the paperwork and i get stanley's 5 year guarantee with it, I know what THATS worth. after reading all the scam stuff online about ElectroBrands and (via google streetview) checking out ElectroBrands creepy little suite in a giant brick tenement office building literally one block from the railroad tracks in westchester, IL, I told stanley to take a hiike. he told me to cancel the order from MY end on amazon, which will make it damn near impossible to flame his company on amazon after I cancel the order. this means, of course, that THE CYCLE WILL CONTINUE.
best I can recommmend is to avoid these creeps who seem to be deceptive used electronics resellers at best and scam artists at worst. if you want to pay full retail for a used appliance, be my guest!
STAY WAY FROM THESE CREEPS!

"Complete scam artists. I purchased a gift that was supposed to ship within 2 business days. It never came in. They charged my credit card immediately. After 3 weeks, I sent an email with the order number and all pertinent information to inquire about the whereabouts of my order. They told me I had to call them. I called. They gave me the run around for several days and at first lied about the transaction saying that my card was declined. Funny that it was supposedly declined when the transaction was made through PayPal and the funds were withdrawn the same day I placed the order. I asked for a refund. It never happened. I had to open a dispute with PayPal and go through Buy.com. They were able to get my refund for me within a business day. These guys are losers."
"I got a camera from ElectroBrands and a 5-year warranty from Safco Service. My camera was broken. I got no response claiming at Safeco Service web site. I sent them email and was told their web site was not working. There was no response for all my follow-up emails. Later, I found out that actually Safco Service is ElectroBrands. From previous reviews, I think they have been running such a scam for a long time. Is there any way we can stop them to keep doing this?"
"Electrobrands is a horrible company ,I boght a canon camera on their website and never received and after calling several time ,they told me that unfortunatley they do not have the product in stock.NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM,That is my experience and my suggestions to all the customers out there."
"HORRIBLE. I recieved the same lying phone call as listed on the other reviews. When I asked when it was shipped, they gave me a date, when I never recieved it and called again, they told me they didn't know when it shipped. When I told them to cancel the order he said "all applicable fees will apply". I asked him what they were and why I was getting different answers than I had gotten the previous week and he hung up on me."
"STAY AWAY! I made the mistake of placing an order via their Web site. Received a phone call from "Stanley" the next day, and then the upselling and serial lying began. These people are crooks and phonies of the worst sort; and I can see from others' experiences recounted here that it is no mistake or coincidence, but a carefully worked out strategy of deliberate ripoff.
The ordered merchandise still hasn't arrived (they falsely claimed it had been shipped over a week ago and would definitely be here last week), so I e-mailed a cancellation to them.
Their response was an e-mail lying about what I had been told -- twice -- by them about delivery and claiming that I would only be able to return the stuff if I paid a restocking fee. I won't; if it does show up it will go right back to them unopened.
Meanwhile, I have warned my credit card company (they put through the charge as soon as the order was placed), which has a good track record of protecting its cardholders. I hope to clear up the mess I find my self in -- but an ounce of prevention is the thing. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH ELECTRO BRANDS under any circumstances or you will have cause for big regrets."
"I wish I had seen these reviews prior to ordering my camera. I ordered it on May 27th and I received a call from "Stanly" on May 30th (Memorial Day) to verify CC and shipping address. He told me my order would be shipped out the next day (Tuesday May 31st). I even paid for upgraded shipping so that I would have it for our event tomorrow (June 4th). They took the money out of my account on Tuesday May 31st but the website kept saying "in processing". As of today June 3rd it is still "in processing", I NEVER received an email or call from them saying there was a delay. I called them (the 800 number on their website)this morning at 10:15 am and received a recording saying "you have reached us outside of our normal business hours, please try again M-Th 10:00 - 5:00 pm est and Fri 10:00 am -3:00 pm est. I kept calling and kept getting the same recording. Finally I called the phone number that "Stanly" called from and got someone (10:45 am) and the voice is the same as "Stanly" but guy said his name was "David". He said my order shipped out yesterday (6/2/2011) because there has been a lot of fraud over the internet and I should be receiving my order the end of next week. I paid for expediated shipping. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY."
