"Electro Computer Warehouse offers a huge discount with 30 days warranty in cheapest price in whole North America. The system functions quiet well....try it yourself."
"I purchased a few machines from them, and they're
very quick with the "sales" talk, but very poor when it comes to technical knowledge. They buy their machines from the U.S garbage dumps, my machines still had "recycled" export for destruction stickers. Miss matched Ram, leaking motherboard capacitors, and hot to touch powersupplies, are the reason these machine went to the dump in the first place. They just sell them, and shine them up with motor oil. Are you best friend, until it's warranty time.. then they run away, 30 days sorry my friend."
"Purchased a used Dell OptiPlex GX270 from Electro Computer Warehouse in August '09. Machine has given me nothing but problems -- but of course everything went wrong just after their 30 day warranty. In the seven months I have owned this unit I have paid more in repairs than I did for the computer. When I contacted ECW they didn't even offer a sympathetic ear, just reminded me that my warranty was up. BUYER BEWARE, these guys are selling a bunch of used up junk that should be sent to the recycle heap."
"I ordered a HP desktop bundle from them and had really good customer service. They even negotiated the shipping charge for me. I got my computer on time and it works great. I will use them again in the future."
"horrible service, horrible products, horrible return policy.
I wanted an inexpensive computer for my 7 year old to play games and learning software. Well, I got one. When I got it and booted it up, I got an error that it couldn't find the floppy or the cd-rom drive. I opened it up and the floppy ribbon cable was broken. the cd-rom wasn't even plugged in. I plugged it in and booted again. It runs for up to 30 minutes before freezing up. Only a hard reboot will unfreeze it.
It took me 10 days to convince Electro Computer Warehouse that the computer was defective and needed to be returned. I used their online chat, email, and phone calls daily.
Wait, it gets even better! They wouldn't send me a return shipping label. They wanted me to pay to ship it back. No big deal, right? Wrong! They are in Canada. If you don't have a return label, you have to pay customs. Shipping UPS was $28. Customs tacks on another $10. $38 to return a $59 computer (which I already paid $20 shipping to get it in the first place). Hmm. I don't think so. I cut my losses and learned a $79 lesson.
DON'T BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! They screwed me! they obviously don't test the machines before sending them out.
