"I ordered a phillips 34pw8402 widescreen from Electronicsnation.com The whole experience was a pleasure, and the sales staff and management were extrememly helpful and pleasant throughout. I also ordered a 2 year extended warranty from electronicsnation for a very reasonable price, and now I have piece of mind, and a lengthier and all inclusive warranty to fall back on in case any issue arises. I should also note a small fixable issue with the tv popped up a month later, and Phillips warranty service was extremely responsive and easy to work with as well. I had permission to have it service in my home by a technician within 20 minutes on the phone, and the problem has since been resolved. It just needed a degaussing(demagnetization) to remove a slight discoloration in the top right corner. Now all is well, and I’m extremely pleased with my hdtv.
One thing to keep in mind when ordering a refurb online is that you may have to wait a week or two before you get your set. So, it doesn’t seem like you can just order it, and then a knock on the door three days later. However, you will be saving a tremendous amount of money, and getting the exact same set as you would at Best B@y or Circuit Ci&ty. The set I bought at electronicsnation.com. arrived in perfect condition in 2 and half weeks total. I paid $850 shipped to my door. Now, that same set is selling today two months later at Best B*y for $1300 plus tax. In Tennessee, that’s 10%, so around $1430 and possibly delivery on top of that. Now that’s a difference of $600. So, I had to wait two weeks, but for that kind of savings, you better believe I can postpone the pleasure.
I also had some correspondence with the staff throughout my decision process, and I very much appreciated how I was treated, and allowed to order what was right for me. They didn’t try to sell me monster cables, or extended warranties, nor did they pressure me in any way. I’m extremely pleased with my experience with electronicsnation.com, and I wholeheartedly recommend them. If you are looking to get a good deal, and pay significantly less than retail, then electronicsnation.com is perfect for you. I will be shopping there again, and i regularly check it for bargains. If you are hesitent to purchase refurbished, one thing to consider is their availability of extended warranties, this will add a far superior warranty than what comes from the factory, and the price of the products is still just untouchable, and you won't find a better deal anywhere. The thing I was most impressed with, I guess, was I got a great deal, AND great service. The manager there really went out of his way to make sure I would be happy with what I ordered, and with his company. Also, I really do like my HDTV!! and I saved a lot of $$$$

"Good service, good product, with some anxiety because of unpredictability. I ordered a Philips 30PW850H, checked each morning for shipping info. One week later ElectronicsNation said it had shipped. At noon the same day FedEx knocked at my door with the 132-pound TV. It was luck that I was at home and I'm not sure what they would have done if I hadn't been. They carried it in and put it on the TV stand but said they weren't supposed to. So delivery is not White Glove. Then the TV got no picture. Philips Customer Service quickly ascertained that troubleshooting could not fix the problem. I emailed ElectronicsNation that I would like to return the TV. They answered quickly that it was necessary to follow protocol, which was to have an authorized repair service come out. I was afraid of being stuck with a nonfunctional TV but Customer Service wrote, "I can guarantee a good result, just not the method!" Three days later the TV was repaired - something disconnected was connected - and it's great. The best price I could find elsewhere came to $920 including tax and shipping and this TV was $600, no tax and free shipping. I would do it again."
"I purchased a Philips widescreen HDTV from electronicsnation.com on 2/9/2004 the transaction was smooth unfortunately the shipping process has been anything but spectacular. The product was supposed to ship anywhere from 5-7 days of purchase well it's been 12 business days since the purchase and they still haven't shipped the TV. What got me is electronicsnation.com gave me a tracking number a week ago so I was thinking the TV had been shipped. I went to pilotair.com (the carrier) and typed in the tracking number only to get a "no match" so I spoke to a pilotair representative and she informed me that the tracking number was invalid no product matching that number. Went back to electroncsnation.com to inform them of the situation and they replied that my TV was "held-up" from shipping of course they didn't tell me why and that it will ship in the next 1-2 days. I can't find a telephone number anywhere for this electronicsnation.com which is based in Dayton OH. I must say that their customer service is great they reply to my request within 2hrs each time. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and if my TV doesn't ship within 3 days I will have to escalate this whole ordeal.
Here is a followup one week later still not HDTV. CS rep at electronicsnation tells me the TV ships directly from the Philips factory to there logistical service and it's up to Philips logistical service to ship me the TV. I contacted Philips Electronics and opened up a claim their CS isn't the best either as it took 3 emails to finally get somewhere. So far I have opened a fraud claim with the IFFCFBI. I have sent emails to both Philips and Electronicsnation stating that if I don't receive my TV by 3/9 which is 1 month from the date of purchase I will be contacing the Ohio Attorney Generals office and I will open another claim with the FTC.
Here's my final report on this. After they told me the reason why the TV hasn't shipped yet was because of a delay in the tracking I laughed it had been a month since the purchase date and still no TV so I threatened them that I would dispute the debit withdrawal from my bank you normally have 60 days to do so and he replied threatening to ban me from his website LOL. Soon after, he replies to me saying if I wanted a refund to just request it this is a month after the purchase so I immediately requested a refund which he did within 3 days. So I get my refund and 3 days after that I get a phone call from Worcester Freight saying they have a package for me from Philps electronincs. I denied the shipment so they sent the TV back. what a fiasco. I'm glad i'm donw with electronicsnation.com.
