"I originally tried to place an order in March of 2007 and Electrophia's website crashed when my order was not quite finalized. I was unable to get back on the site the next day and never received the order or an order confirmation. I purchased the item from another vendor, then on July 1, 2007 I received an order confirmation from Electrophia. I immediately e-mailed back cancelling the order explaining that I had tried to order it in March. I still received the item by next day air. When I called to return the item I was initially told by Electrophia that they would send me a return shipping label and refund me in full upon receipt of the item. The next day they telephoned me back saying that I had placed the order on July 1 (which I had not) and they would refund me the $13.50 for the item but not the $42.63 for the shipping and that I would have to return the item at my own expense. I refused and Electrophia has refused to negotiate forcing me to lodge a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and my credit card. They also say that they never received the e-mail I sent cancelling the order. I am very surprised that such errors can happen with a web retailer and am even more disappointed with the customer service. The representative I spoke with kept saying he needed to confer with his boss, and I later found out he is actually the president of the company. I would recommend caution when purchasing from this company. They have excellent prices but the horrible customer service and the fact that their website crashed does not make their prices worthwhile."
