"OH where do I begin??? dealing with thes people has been a nightmare Ordered a replacement bulb for my sony bravia projector. Was told the price of the unit and the shipping. Said 10 days max to arrive.
20 days later it showes up(they cited manufacture delays as the reason "Backorder") but it's the wrong part!!!!
Now this I can honestly say was not thier fault sony had it wrong on their website that they use to verify parts #'s BUT... when I called and asked that they ship out the correct part and I would just return the UNOPENED wrong one I was told they have a 0 return policy. said it was a special order item... Not my problem folks...
It took me 3 days 10 phone calls and a lot of screaming both to sony and the parts distributer but they relented and allowed me to exchange the part.
I asked if there would be any additional costs I was told "NO the parts cost the same." My card got hit for 100$ extra plus shipping...
3 more phone calls because the refund for the original part has not come through yet 7 days after they said it was processed and still nothing, also had to fight to get my $ back for the shipping of the second part.
The technition who installed my new lamp when he heard who I had ordered through looked at me funny and laughed in my face said that was the worst thing in the world to do. He flat out refuses to deal with them at all because of the problems they frist create, then ignor!
Bad Bad business from end to end.
Making mistakes is easy we are human, and Sony did have their website wrong from the word go BUT refusing to take it back and correct it I mean really? I'm not asking you to build the Taj Mahal here guys, I was less then happy and will forever NOT place any orderes with them.
They go by several names another posted listed an older name V something, sony has them listed as TriTronics and they call themselves Encompass.
the last three letters are indicitive as the the type of ppl who work here.
Please do yourself a favor and just find someone else.

"Unfortunately, we ordered a replacement drum for a faulty LG Tromm dryer from Encompass Parts. There was no information regarding total price or shipping charges when I placed the order. Shame on me for not finding out beforehand because the part was $140.00 and the shipping was $80.00. I also ordered one roller along with the drum. The roller was $21.00, they charged me $18.00 for shipping on that. This is certainly not the way to do business! We will NEVER order from them again!!"

"I purchased two pairs of JVC replacement ear buds from Emcompass Parts (Image: http://bit.ly/dkKo3K). The total cost of the order was $9.56. On the order form there was a statement that the shipping cost could not be disclosed until after the order is submitted. Thinking that the shipping cost would be reasonable for such small items (fool me once) I went ahead and placed the order.
Eight days later I received the invoice for this order from Vance Baldwin Electronics. To my shock the shipping fee was $25.15!! I cannot fathom such business practices. I have been shopping online for many years and never have I encountered an online merchant that would not fully disclose the shipping costs upfront. I now understand why as I certainly would not have placed the order knowing the crazy shipping charge that it would incur.

"I ordered a replacement glass microwave turntable tray from Encompass Parts Distribution after looking around online for reviews to ensure they were reputable. After finding no specific negative information, I ordered the $17.79 part and selected UPS Ground shipping to my home in Colorado. I wasn't given the shipping cost at checkout, which should have piqued my suspicion.
The next day, I received an email from ****@**** and the name "Vance Baldwin Electronics" attached to their address. I hadn't looked up Vance Baldwin Electronics, but I wish I had, because I would have found previous reviews and not made my order in the first place. The invoice attached to the email contained the charges made to my credit card -- $17.79 as expected for the part, but $41.06 for UPS Ground shipping to Colorado! Where did they ship it from, Madagascar? I hope I can get at least $25 reselling the packing peanuts they used.
These are not honest business practices. I only hope that the next time someone looks up Encompass Parts Distribution, the search engine finds this page so that they can associate that name with Vance Baldwin Electronics and be properly scared away from doing business with these ripoff artists."
"I made an online purchase with encompass. After the purchase conformation was sent, they had tacked on a $299 core charge for the part. I called a rep and told the rep I wasn't aware of this charge before the purchase and couldn't afford to take the risk of them refuseing my board and not getting credit for the core. I was instructed to refuse the shippment, which I did, and I would be refunded. I figured I would get most of my money back less shipping and restock fees. Not the case. They refuse to give any money back and simply give me a run-around every time I call. They finally told me not to call, they would call me. I even have the conformation e-mail where the received the returned board. That is bad business. I suggest you ship somewhere else because I found a better deal a moduslink with no hidden charges. "I also had a positive experience ordering a Toshiba laptop hinge from Encompass Parts. In my case, it was a new left hinge for my A15-S157, part number P000377630. Cost was $13.33 plus $10.32 S/H (as another reviewer noted, the shipping cost is not confirmed until after you place an order). The part was backordered but it came back in stock within 3 days and shipped quickly. The same hinge runs $50 or more on eBay so I am pleased."
