If installed on the roof of a large van, it may be difficult to remove without sliding the mount across the painted surface, possibly scratching the paint. We will glue some rubber pads under the magnets to diminish the magnetic pull force to make it easier to work with and also protect the vehicles painted surface from scratches. The pads that are installed from the factory are not centered well and metal is exposed on the perimeter of some of the magnets."
