"Super great seller! Everything was perfect! Gonna buy more. Thank you!"
"The item was delivered very fast. The item corresponds with description, thanks!"
"GREAT PACKING EXCEPTIONAL, FAST SHIPPING QUALITY 5 STAR SELLER."
"So happy with this.. received really quick. Thanks so much..........."
"THIS IS A COMPLETELY FRAUDELENT "COMPANY." I purchased a book from them through ValoreBooks and never received my item. I asked them for tracking information twice, which they completely refused to give me - because the item never shipped in the first place, duh.
SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. I will be leaving negative reviews on every single website that I can. These people should be charged for the crimes they are committing, and I will do everything in my power to make sure that happens."
"Complete SCAM and FRAUD. They're unfortunately using Abebooks as an unwitting accomplice in their criminal activity. I ordered a book from them which they advertised as "new". After the order was placed (and they had stolen my money) they emailed me that the book was in fact "used". Offered me a choice of accepting the book at a reduced price, or cancelling the order for a full refund. I IMMEDIATELY responded with the order to CANCEL. They responded that they would do so, and to allow 24-48 hours for the refund to be processed. It has now been THIRTEEN DAYS and their only action has been to evade the refund by sending multiple emails that they cannot cancel the order until they've been notified that cancellation is indeed my wish. I have responded to EACH one of their emails with a repeated mandate that the order is to be cancelled and a full refund issued. They continue to evade. And by the way, don't waste your time trying to call the phone number they provide. Scammers never answer the phone."
"Horrible experience with this fraudulent company! Never received my book. Told me they didn't have a tracking number, then told me the book was lost in the mail. They couldn't process my refund due to "technical difficulties." Then I never heard from them again despite continued emails and calls (no one ever answers their phone). Unbelievable!"
"Ergodebooks advertised they had 5 copies of the book with a photo. Took my money and sent me a different book.
I've since learned that this is their regular scam. They are stealing money and are still in business on the Internet. with just computers and a bank account. Their "Customer Service" phone number was answered by a gentleman who asked, "What company are you referring to?"
I have been reminded by another customer who was defrauded that the thefts involve collecting money, and sending misrepresented books across state lines.
Reporting this business to the FBI fraud investigations unit is a way to shut down the Ergodebooks digital business."
"I ordered a college book for my daughter and paid expedited shipping. My order was charged on my credit card when “they said it was shipped”. The book is late and I try to call somebody at the phone number and nobody answers. At one point, I called and I heard the phone pick up and click in my ear. It is obvious that they do not want to help their customers. I will NEVER recommend this business to anyone. I ordered thru Abebooks.com and I would not recommend them either. I don’t know what is wrong with customer service today. Nobody wants to call you. Everything is dealt with online to which you have to wait two days for an answer. "
"I ordered a book from this so called company back in January 2021 and have yet to receive it. After several emails and complaints to ergodebooks and Amazon, ergodebooks replied by sending me two separate tracking numbers which turned out to be bogus. They also emailed me Begging me to remove a bad review I gave them on Amazon stating they shipped the book off twice and didn't understand the problem. They also wanted me to remove the bad review saying they were a startup company (A LIE) and didn't need any bad press. They offered to refund my money with a bonus but never did. I continue to contact ergodebooks even requesting a refund several times but they refuse to respond. I guess they think I'm going away but they could not be more wrong. I will follow up on this until my dying day. NOBODY LIKES TO BE SCAMMED!!!#"
"I purchased a $60 out of print book from Ergodebooks through Amazon. It arrived damaged with no bubble wrap or even paper in the box to protect it. When I sent pictures to Amazon they refused to help me unless I went through the seller first. I asked for a replacement and Ergodebooks was being extremely dodgy and avoiding all my questions about a replacement. After 8 weeks of stress I filed a refund claim with Amazon and immediately Ergodebooks emailed me and asked me to remove my claim for a 40% refund. I was so close to accepting because they kept guilting me and talking about how their business is their livelihood until I got on here and saw all the reviews. Boycott them.
Edit: I filed a claim with Amazon and got a full refund that came out of ErgodeBook's pocket. Now they keep emailing me demanding I send the damaged book back to them (when Amazon said I can keep it!) no doubt so they can scam someone else with it. If you got scammed by them through Amazon file a claim and get your money back. Don't let these fraudsters get away with it."
"DO NOT, REPEAT, DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SCUMBAGS. I ordered a book via their e-bay site. I specifically ordered what they had specifically advertused as a New copy. I paid $76.00 and received a water stained SECOND HAND copy - something I could have bought from an Australian seller for $30.00! How can e-bay allow such blatant fraud to take place on its website?"
"Just like everyone else on here, I purchased a rare and out-of-print book that they advertised as “new”. I received a very used (stains, pen marks, bent cover, tears) book instead. I contacted them and they requested photo documentation of the destroyed book. I did that and they sent me a return postage label and promised me a refund. I sent the book back and then... nothing. No refund, no answers to my inquiries, nothing! I checked the tracking number and they definitely received the book.
So, in a nutshell, they stole my money by lying and then they took the book back to sell to the next sucker. These people are scammers and thieves, plain and simple. I am currently contacting the Attorneys General of the states of Texas and Utah, as well as the Consumer Protection Bureau."
"I ordered a book from ErgodeBooks 31st Jan. The delivery date then changed from a week to "expected delivery date 1st - 19th March!! I emailed them to say I had not received my book on Feb 25th and requested an update. No reply so I waited. March 21st I requested a refund as no book had arrived. Their response was that it had been delivered Feb 24th.
Long story short after numerous requests to them and EBay I still have not had my money back.
ErgodeBooks now say that a different book was sent to me and if they pay the postage and give me an address will I send it on to another customer? and in my own time!! and due to 'a glitch', they cannot provide me with a pre paid label to send it back to them! To my knowledge I have never received a book from them! Strange or what?!!
Wow! Unbelievable.
Sorry to say EBay have not been very helpful either especially as I have received over 400 100% feedback comments on my EBay account over a 12 year period.
DEFINITELY NOT TO BE TRUSTED

"I ordered off of Amazon. I did receive a confirmation with my order number right away. I was very happy when I received it today after only ordering a few days ago. However, I bought a NEW book, the book I received could have been new, but the way it was shipped...a heavy book in an oversized envelope...the front and back covers are bent and so are many of the pages. Very dissatisfied about that! I've contacted customer service so we will see if my rating changes after/if I get a response."
