Cancel order 2 day before was to arrive

"Canceled order after payment online ... 2 days before bike was supposed to be delivered they cancelled order.. Bike was for son bday .. Don't trust this business"

No customer service

"I ordered some bindings and received their display model. I'm trying to return them but they won't cover my shipping cost. If they would have sent me new ones without scratches I wouldn't need to return these. The website didn't advertise them as display model or open box item. It should have been specified that its NOT new condition and had scratches then I wouldn't have ordered them in the first place. I shouldn't be responsible for their mistake shipping a product that's not new. They are telling it don't effect the performance of the bindings and its something that would happen after a season of riding. Where is the customer service? So sad a this business wants customers to pay for their mistakes. I just don't want something I paid full price for thats suppose to be NEW having scratches simple pay my shipping cost. "

Be careful buying expensive bikes from them

"Be very careful buying expensive bikes from Eriks Bike Shop, ours came damaged from them and they offered us $25 as compensation.

We really thought we'd found a reputable shop to order our new bike from, we were wrong. While their website and ordering process was professional and quick, their customer service after the sale is lacking for products worth thousands of dollars.

There was a delay in shipment of the bike, which is understandable with the rush on bikes, but there was no uodate from them and we had to reach out to them to see if there was an issue.

The bike finally shipped and we received it faster than expected, which was nice. however, while unpacking the bike and taking their protecting cardboard off, a big gouge was revealed. there was no damage to the protective cardboard or the shipping box, so the gouge was clearly there when they packed it up.

When we reached out to Eriks Bike Shop to hopefully find a solution to the issue, they offered $25. That seems out of proportion for a damaged frame on a bike worth thousands of dollars.

They could have had a customer that would have spent thousands more in parts and accessories at their store, but because they didnt even attempt any type of customer service, they lost that business to a more reputable store.

Be careful purchase an expensive bike from Eriks Bike Shop.

They take your money for items not in stock

"Placed order for item showing in stock on website. I got an email 5 days later that the item wasn’t in stock and payment would be reversed. I don’t know why they can’t keep their inventory accurate on their website or at least notify of their error right after order is placed. "

Online Order Scam

"Ordered an item April 14th which I was charged for right away. Followed up a week later since I had not heard back. Tried to contact them for a follow up with a phone number listed on their website for online orders but they never answer the phone. Left a voicemail and also send multiple emails. Finally they emailed me back saying that this is a special order and if I still want the item. They also stated that they send me an email in regards to this on the 15th which I never received and it was not in my junk mail. I said yes I want the item and they said I should receive by April 30th. Today is April 30th and I called, and of course no one answered per usual, so I started a chat which after a very long wait they replied to the chat and stated that "they are hoping that the item gets shipped next week." Well I'm not so hopeful and I'm about to cancel this order. I just hope that I get my money back."

What a wait

"Ordered a pair of bootsand since Google's. Shipping was looking line 3 to 5 days. Its currently 11 days later and still no package. Paid 10 dollars for shipping. then after failing to tell me they actually didn't have the items on hand said they would ship the items out once they received them. If i would like to get then faster i could pay the full price for 2 day shipping(not considering the 10 bucks i already spent.

Poor service.
Worse shipping.
Already missed one trip w this great hoping it won't be two.
Not buying from them again

"Tom, Todd and the rest of the team at Erik's Bike Shop in Minnetonka are the best! Incredible customer service. Great customer service and selection

"These guys know their stuff! They have a ton of bikes and they are very knowledgeable about them. I went in looking for more information on an e-bike. The staff member was very helpful and patient. I asked a lot of questions and he had the answers. They have a lot of e-bikes. I ended up buying the Specialized Vado and I love it! I will definitely go back... My wife wants an electric bike now too."

Decent selection that comes with terrible service and high prices

"I have now been to Eriks several times (hoping my first time was a fluke). Ski, bike, and board shops are almost always cool. Every person that has helped me at Eriks has be been rude, inattentive, and slow. Additionally they price above MSRP on most items, so watch pricing. I rented a mountain bike not knowing where else to go for $100, about 30-40% higher than I have ever paid and paid for clip-in pedals there for my own. The shop said they would put them on for me, then charged $12 to install. The helmet didn't come with the rental and any time they could, they blamed mistakes on other shops. I have been to multiple locations and will no longer go again because after my experience this weekend I am confident I have not just caught someone on a bad day. Save your time (and your money) and go to a much better, friendlier shop.

I threw away my receipt, but was there on 7/14 and 7/15.

"Erik's Bike Shop has good quality merchandise, but everything is over-priced and their service is absolutely horrendous (at least in the Eden Prairie, MN location).

Today I called and asked about bringing in my kids' bikes for standard maintenance. I was planning to schedule an appointment, but I was told that wasn't necessary. They said we could bring in the bikes today and they would be ready within 24 hours. I was shocked, so I asked again and they confirmed that we could bring in the bikes today and they would be ready within 24 hours. So I packed up the kids and bikes and drove 30 miles to the store.

When we arrived at the store there were a few employees standing around the service counter chatting, but it took almost a half hour before one of them acknowledged our presence. Then, when they started filling out the paperwork we were told that the soonest a technician could look at the bikes is next Friday (8 days from now). My kids are currently training for a duathlon so leaving the bikes for over a week wasn't an option. So I packed up the kids and bikes and left the store (and will never return).

If you care about receiving good service after spending over a thousand dollars on a bicycle, then I *strongly* recommend that you avoid Erik's Bike Shop.

NOTE: The manager of the store contacted me and Erik's Bike Shop performed the maintenance free of charge, which shows that management cares about their customers (greatly appreciated), but I am still unimpressed with the behavior of the staff at the Eden Prairie location.

"Great communication! There was a slight delay in shipping my order because they had to get the stuff I ordered back from the stores (turned out to be 1 day, really), so they wrote me a personal email explaining what was going on etc. Next day they sent it, and it was at my door in no time -- nicely done!"
