"I've purchased at least 2 items through Ebay, a Samsung 12 in 1 LCD remote control, and an Altec Lansing sub/sat speaker system for my son's play station. Both items arrived very quickly and exactly as they were listed. They were packed well, and work perfectly.
I don't have the invoices anymore as this was many months ago(the speakers possibly in 2004).

"Panasonic SC-HT820V Home Theater
Run, don't walk from this company.
Here is why I will never do business with this ebay company again:
1) They misrepresent the content and quality of their goods. Here are the problems that I noted in my complaint to Essex Technology Group (ETG):
a. The remote was missing. But the "Actual Item Contents" listing indicated that the remote was included.
b. The main unit does not response to a remote borrowed from an identical panasonic system. Therefore the remote sensor did not work anyway.
c. The subwoofer had cosmetic damage on the front face and the main unit has major damage: a large dent over the DVC/CD portion of the unit. However the "Item Condition" listing said that that the item was "Like New. Cosmetically, it is Near-Mint."
d. The main unit did not power off when the power button is pushed-the only way to power off is to pull the plug out of the wall.
e. The input selector button does not work; so there is no way to toggle functions between DVD/CD, VCR, AM and FM
f. The disc selector did not work; so there is no way to use the 5-disc function.
g. The DVC/CD indicator did not light up.
h. The DVD/CD disc change button did not work.

2) They over-charge on shipping. They charged me $35 for shipping, yet it only cost me $22 to return the same box to them.

3) They will not reimburse you for shipping if you return a defective item.

4) They do not honor their own return policy. The item was purchased for $172.50 on 4/20/05 and was delivered to me on 4/26/05. On 4/29/05 I informed ETG that the item did not work and I wanted to return it. On 5/2/05 the ETG issued a RMA to return the item for a full refund. On 5/2/05 the item was shipped back to the ETG by DHL with confirmation of receipt by the ETG on 5/5/05. Since receiving the returned item the ETG has not refunded me and has made no attempt to contact me whatsoever. I inquired about my refund by email on 5/24/05 and have received no response. Subsequently I filed a complaint with paypal but they informed me that they will only take action if there is a problem with shipping, not defective goods. I have now filed a dispute through my credit card company. Next stop is the state attorney general's office of Tennessee.

"The above invoice number is the Ebay auction number...
I bought many items from these guys, about 40% is junk that dont work but listed as working. I sent a dvd recorder back with a rma number and they kept it and my $141.85 claim they never received it even after i e-mailed them proof of delivery with a signiture. bought 2 ac/dc tv's listed as working that did not work. would not take back.
the invoice number above was for a plextor px-716uf dvd burner listed as mint,that did not work.paypal had to refund my money because i took out the buyer protection on this item. these people would not even answer Square trades e-mails on the dvd recorder that they stold from me.

"I bought a lot of 4 Bluetooth adapter from this seller on May 14th. I received the item on time but out of 4 adapter 1 was not working so I email them several times but didn't receive any reply. So I filed dispute with PayPal. After filing dispute, very next day they send me RMA # to send back entire lot. I want to keep 3 adapter and want to exchange 1 so I emailed them about that but they never replied back. So I sent the non working unit back but they decline the exchage. So I left negative feedback for them. Following are the feedback and follow ups. Kindly note the time.

"I ordered a cd player off of this company through ebay and the ad stated that it worked. When I received it I found that it did not. I emailed them 3 times and got no response. I emailed Ebay to complain and opened up an investigation with Square Trade Mediators. Still no reply. I have just recently opened up an investigation with Paypal. I left negative feedback on them and they had the nerve to leave negative feedback on me. They couldn't be bothered to reply to my emails but they could leave me negative feedback??? This company is awful. There are thousands of horror stories, I am not alone. They need to be put out of business as they are nothing but con artists. "I won Salton Body Fit Facial described as "like new" "mint condition" on ebay. Package arrived with missing part and broken lid. Ignored all emails until I filed for PayPal claim. I see Buyessex continues to place the same product on ebay auction with 5 different ending dates. I emailed three more times requesting replacement of the missing part and broken lid. Here is a response from Buyessex: "You can request it as often as you want but you are not going to get a replacement for the item, as we do not offer exchanges/replacements as a solution". It seems that Buyessex purposedly acts without good faith and has no intension to resolve problem. I am disappointed that Ebay encourages such unethical practice and allows such seller continues to cheat on consumers. "

"These guys sent me the wrong item twice! Both times I had to pay return shipping to get a refund even though they admitted it was there mistake from the warehouse. They NEVER reply to emails or telephone you back after you have called them, then have the audacity to leave you NEGATIVE FEEDBACK for not contacting them.

Dishonest company. They get around 650 negative feedbacks a month, but unfortunately because of the large numbers of positive, it is often overlooked.

This seller charges outrageous shipping charges that I didn't know about at the time of the auction. He also doesn't combine shipping. I should have known something was wrong, because very few people were bidding on his merchandise. The shipping charges were actually more than the highest retail prices that I could find anywhere. Most of the items were damaged in some way, or another, and came in open packages, or just plain without packaging. He also shipped everything in separate boxes that were received at the same time. That was a total waste of time, and packaging material on his part. He put items that could fit in the palm of my hand in cartons that you could put a toaster oven, or microwave oven into. I was trying to get him to either reimburse me for the order, or send me replacement items. I've tried everything, and only got him to send me a few broken CDs, and broken jewel cases as the replacement. EBay wasn't helpful at all. They said that I only bought a few dollars worth of stuff from him, but as you could see, it was actually $97.94. I only have a couple of things from them that I have a little use for, but never used as of yet. I paid double the retail price, and I can't even use what I have. I also ran up a lot of long distance charges on my phone trying to contact them. When I checked the quantity of the received merchandise, I also noticed that a lot of things weren't the quantity that they were supposed to send me. If I ordered 25 CDs, I only got 20 or less at best. They wanted me to give them a list of all the missing items. I had to email them that list several times until they responded. It took quite some time to get those replacements in the mail that were received broken.
