" I ordered a 1.3 GHz Tualatin Slot 1 upgrade on February 11th, '05. I opted for the FedEx two day shipping, but did not recieve the package until the following Friday (02/18). When I opened it, I discovered it was the wrong processor (533 MHz / 66 MHz FSB). After three business days of pounding the phone and emailing customer support, I finally got through after their business hours on 02/22. They emailed me the RMA, and I should be receiving the correct part today (03/01).
If you are persistent, you can get results with this company, but it shouldn't have to be that way. Their prices are slightly lower than Power Leap, but my experience was a nightmare. It's almost worth it to pay Power Leaps prices in exchange for better service."
"Summary: Quick to charge my credit card, then absolutely unresponsive to any requests for order status.
On Sunday, January 23 I placed an order for a Pentium II processor upgrade (Performa 1.3GHz Tualatin Upgrade). I hoped that it would ship in time for me to install it the following weekend, and I opted for one of the Fedex shipping options in the hopes of increasing the odds. On Monday afternoon, their web site listed the order status as "Awaiting Processing," or words to that effect. Sometime Tuesday the status changed to "Being Processed," and it's stayed there ever since (today is Thursday, the 27th). I'd have more patience with their slow order processing if I were able to get any sort of response from the company, but of the four requests I've made (one via their web site, one via email, and two via phone -- not counting the two other times I called and hung up when I got their canned recording), none have even been acknowledged.
My concern about the legitimacy of the company didn't improve when one of my phone calls, made at 4:15 a.m. their local time (to leave a message that could be retrieved when they got in to work) got the exact same "all of our representatives are busy" message that I'd gotten the day before. It seems to me that their "automated call processing system" is actually an answering machine that picks up after four rings.
I checked my credit card account and see that it was charged for the order on the day I placed it. They also sent me an email confirmation on that day. Since then, none of my attempts to contact them by phone, web or email (to four different email addresses) have gotten any response. If I don't hear from them by the end of the day I'm going to cancel the order, but I expect that to be a nightmare given their lack of responsiveness so far."
"Called to order two of their USB / Firewire Combo drive cases (2.5" version). Spoke with a polite lady on the phone who was very helpful and ordered the drives for me.
I got them in on monday the following week only to find that they sent me the USB 2.0 version only, not the combo unit. A call to Evergreen revealed that even though they were still listed on their site, they no longer make the combo unit. Instead of calling me to inform me that there was an error with my order, they felt they could go ahead and ship me a different product anyway.
Fortunately, I was able to obtain an RMA easily enough, but the lack of professionalism in neglecting to inform a customer that you no longer carry a product and send them another intead is unacceptable.
Bothers me especially since I have ordered from them a number of times before without a problem. Of course, they actually had the product I wanted those times."
"I ordered a syringe of TherMagic thermal compound because of its excellent price, and I heard that it was supposed to be on par with Artic Silver III. It didn't disappoint! Great results, dropped my CPU temperature 5C from the original white goop I had on it. When I run out of TherMagic, I will order another tube with no second thoughts."
"Ordered Spectra 400, Evergreen Web Site said it was known to work in my model of computer, it doesn't and now they tell me it won't. They won't accept it back for a refund. False advertizing! I would not recommend this company to anyone."
"It was easy to order online."
