"HORRID company. If you don't believe me, look on betterbusinessbureau.com website--this company has an unsatisfactory rating; I should have looked there before ordering. I have filed a BBB complaint over this. On 6/7/07, I purchased 3 tables over the phone. I was billed that date, even though they said I wouldn't be billed until they confirmed "availability" of my furniture. After several unreturned phone calls & excuses, I finally got confirmation on July 23 that my purchase was "in process". Their website says: "In Process- Your items are available and will now follow normal ordering procedure...Your credit card will now be charged and your item(s) will be picked up from the manufacturer, transferred to our warehouse and fully inspected." On 7/25, I was told my furniture would ship on 8/3. On 8/3, I checked the status online, and it showed "cancelled." The woman on the phone said the furniture was discontinued. Everyday Furnishings knew that up front because I got a "discontinued discount" on the furniture. They just obviously wanted to keep my money for two months. The lady on the phone also said they tried emailing me to let me know the order was cancelled. I received no email nor did I receive a refund. I demanded my money be refunded but I haven't seen it yet. Why didn't they just refund my money when they found out the furniture was discontinued? Customer service is awful, too. When calling about my furniture, I called almost every day after waiting 6 weeks. Twice, the computers were down; one time a guy told me my item was backordered; the next day the item was "in process" again. It's almost like they just have a list of excuses and they go down the list to see how long they can string you along and keep your money. I still don't have my money back. And the website still lists my furniture as available for purchase. I buy almost all my gifts online and have for years; this is THE worst company I have ever come across.

"I ordered a set of tables back in March 2007. After so many phone calls to "Everyday Furnishings" customer service, who only gave me the run around. I finally got feed up and told customer service to just refund me my money that I know longer believed my tables would every be delivered and would like to just resolve this business agreement with them ASAP. Am still in a "begging war" with this store for my money. They are the biggest liars I have ever had the privilege to do business with. I always considered myself a careful person when it came to business dealings. But I have to admit this time I was had. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint against this store. I just don't understand how someone with these type of practices are allowed to continue doing business with the public. I can only say, "Good People" out there please don't throw your hard earned money away, that is just what you will be doing if you decide to do business with the likes of EVERYDAY FURNISHINGS. I had to learned the hard way."
"I purchased a Kathy Ireland table and chair set made by Standard Furniture from Everydayfurnishings.com When the table arrived there were two indention in the table top that looked as if they had been sanded too deeply. Also there were some scratches in the finish. The carton it was packed in was not damaged so it had to have been done in the factory. The shipping company made a note of the defects on their bill of lading. I immediatly called EveryDayFurnishing.com and spoke with the customer service. They assured me they would check into in and get back with me. After many repeated call back where they would not answer the phone and a unanswered email, I finally spoke with a customer service rep who told me that they could not do anything because Standard Furniture had denied the claim and I should call them myself. I called Standard and they refered me back to the store where I bought it, saying their hands were tied. After speaking to a supervisorat Standard the first week in June, she told me she would check into it and get back with me. I have left two messages on her voice mail and she has not returned either one. They are giving me the same runaround as EverydayFurnishing.com. Don't do business with either place. I will never order anything on-line again after dealing with these companies who have shown no interest in making this defective table top right."
