"It was great. Didn’t have any problems with my controller "
"Quick communication, professional, quality products"
"My Evil controller works better than expected, thanks guys."
"They kept me up to date on everything it was great ☺️"
"ordered the controller, got it fast after confirmed, dude the controller is OP. i play rainbow six, absolutely never going back to stock controller, awesome work and the controller is unbelievably awesome. buy it, try it, youll love it trust me. keep in mind, you get what pay for, definitely worth it in every way!! looking to order another one for my little brother "
"I reached out to customer service often and they always responded promptly."
"Received a controller customized and just like everyone else straight out of the box the mods would turn themselves on and the stick constantly drifts even still to this day it still drifts nonstop said they would fix it if I paid extra for shipping what a scam"
"What a piece of crap. Out of the box my $361.43 controller's power port was stretched out / bent, every power cord fell out. In addition, one of the two custom shift paddles stuck on the first try, AND there was something rattling around inside the controller. I called the support" line and spoke with and they told me that I had to pay for shipping back for repair? That it would take a few weeks? On top of that I I would also have to pay a 15% restocking fee if I decided to return it. I reiterated to the rep (Ray) that it was bad out of the box, I called the same day it was received. They decided they could send a return label "as a favor" ?? I was then told them that I was returning the Evil Controller, there was no apology whatsoever. I called my CC company immediately and canceled the charge. Evil Controllers took 6 weeks to issue a credit after the company received their controller back. Buyer beware, it doesn't get any worse than this. Don't believe the fake good reviews. I decided to go with a ModdedZone controller, high quality product with same features for much less!"
"Received a $200 xbox controller. Thumbsticks were so off-center that the the controller was useless, and the A-button did not register properly. So right out of the box this expensive modded controller was complete garbage. When I contacted them about this they asked for video evidence. I sent this FIVE different times and they kept saying they've yet to receive the video, but I tried to access it myself in different browsers etc and it was working fine everywhere. Half the time it took weeks between each response, and the other half of the time they did not respond, and I had to keep sending another e-mail. It was almost never the same person responding. Eventually I uploaded the video to youtube and they then saw it and accepted that my controller did not work. At one instance they did not respond for 2 months... but eventually they told me I could send it back. They offered no help with this and I had to do it myself and pay for it myself, with the insinuation of reimbursment. After almost half a friggin year this nightmare was sort of over. All I wanted to do was return an out-of-the-box DEFECT item for a refund. Once they received it and I had sent them the receipts they said I'd be refunded within a week. Nothing. Had to ask where my refund was. I got about 75% of the purchase repaid and zero of the postage refunded on either way. So I spent $150 on imports and postage and had to deal with 6 months of sporadic and terrible customer-service. And I never even had a controller that could be used for a single second. Worst company I've ever dealt with. Defected and cheap/weirdly light product terribly overpriced. Hands down worst customer service ever. I would not wish this experience on my worst enemy. Stay away from these borderline criminals."
"I bought my controller and was very excited to get it, but only a month later the right thumb stick was having drift issues, bad drift too not just a little. I sent the controller in under warranty and they sent an email saying they received it, no problem there. The email said 2-3 days after receiving it to look at it and 6-8 for repairs. Long story short after a month and a half not getting emails back, leaving messages on they’re phone. No one would get back to me, but I finally got a hold of them and they apologized and said they would put my controller next for repair, it has been another 2 weeks and I still have no word of them getting it back to me. This is by far the absolute worst company ever. DO NOT USE THEM!!! SERIOUSLY!"
"After waiting for a Month (even I payed rush ship), after paying taxes, I recieved my controller completely freeze. It simply doesnt connect or charge at all. A yellow light goes and then a red flash for a second. Seems they bring me a dead battery after 300$ unbelivable. Now I am broke as well. First and last for me."
"They are junk! The controllers break easily, The controller we bought had issues from the beginning. Save your money and buy a better brand. The customer service is awful and the higher you go up the ladder the worse it gets! They know they are junk as well. 90 day warrantee unless you spend another $14.95 for the year warrantee that doesn't cover thumb drift. $24.95 for two years that doesn't cover anything. If Xbox changes their controller they no longer cover the older style! Buy a better brand from a better company!! "
"I don’t reccomend EC. I custom made my bf a $280 controller and bought the warranty of $14.99 online. My controller had a color scheme and although there were options, there was no info on any differences between customization. So, I picked according to my desired look. Unknowingly. The controller arrived and looked as planned. Except for what I would’ve done differently...I chose a splatter design for the shell but thought(due to pictures and no disclaimer) it’d be plasty dipped. A much cleaner look and feel. Its literally splatter paint on the controller, super cheap. I would’ve picked a solid color instead. Its not visually pleasing and provides unappealing texture. It also doesn’t hold up durably. It can be damaged since its not a single coat(s) but scattered amounts of paint(chipping, scrapping, etc). The biggest issue were the thumbsticks. I chose the clear blue option called “ice blue”. It was easy to tell that these, too, were cheap. They were remarkably soft with a gummy like texture. Not like the thumbsticks an ordinary black controller has with a firm, plastic feel. After few months of use the thumbsticks began to chip, crumble, peel and warp, until completely deformed at the tops. Impossible to use due to discomfort. I emailed EV well within my warranty the FIRST time. The rep said the wear on the thumbsticks was due to personal use, the warrenty would not validate it. I explained and got nothing but denial. I contacted EC again(after a long retiring of the controller), since we had no options to fix it with tools and replacement parts ourselves. Rey(rep) asked for proof and explanation. I sent photos and explained my ordeal. He clarified that they’d make an “acception”, service it for free but I’d have to pay $10 shipping. I agreed since our warranty had expired. I choose replacements from an array of colors. I specifically demanded ordinary plastic thumbsticks like the black ones on any xbox one controller. He clarified that the my choice were indeed ordinary type thumbsticks in the color I chose. I go to ship it off and had to pay the shipping to EC, $7. I wait two weeks and release the $10 for shipping back after “fixing”. $17 ADDITIONAL spent on top of my original purchase...I recieve the controller, they replaced my thumbsticks with the SAME faulty ones. I reached out and demanded the fix. Rey said he didn’t understand the discrepency. The info was notes and should’ve been done so. I demanded a refund for time and effort spent. He sent me a PREPAID lable and assured me it’d be corrected and fixed. But refused a refund since it’d be finally fixed at no additional cost...? I had to go BACK and FORTH with rey. They paid him to argue with me over $10...After I originally spent $300 plus. Finally, he admits the refund is possible and sends the request to process. I waited nearly a month for both these transactions to take place before recieving my controller. It was fixed. I got my $10 shipping refund. EC is cheap, unprofessional and mediocre. They sell upwards of $100 customizable controllers but don’t provide a warranty to back the product or process. A simple check and balance system would suffice in the desire for good experience...The quality and brand suffers. The customer service is tasking when the reps could care less. All in all, I’ll stick with Microsoft custom made controllers. A friend made one for less money, better quality and value in warranty. It also seems as though EC added warranty options with new guidelines, cheaper pricing and promotions. I’m disappointed that they’ve YET to add a disclaimer about their shell color/design and thumbstick customizations. This would easily have solved my problem(maybe other customers) before it could even take place. Worst gift ever. DON’T believe the hype! Stay away from EC."
"First of all, I’ll try to be honest, short and sweet.
I purchased my controller about a year ago and all seemed to be fine for a few month or so. The paddles worked, button/thumb stick feedback was great, although the controller did feel a little light and almost cheap.
3 months into it, a few buttons started sticking, so I contacted customer service and had to get it repaired. 2 weeks go by and I receive my controller again and it works!
Fast forward another 2 months, and I begin to run into some issues with the triggers/bumpers not responding when pulled. I contact customer service again, they have me send in the controller, and blah blah I get it back 2 weeks later (I purchased the 12 month warranty).
To be honest at this point I stop playing with my shift controller just because it’s caused issues and problems. Another 4 months go by and I start playing again with it, and yet again I run into issues with the buttons sticking as well as the thumb sticks getting stuck forward. Customer service, send it in, get it back 2 weeks later...
After I received my controller for the 3rd time getting repairs in less than a year, the left thumbstick does not work at all. I contact customer support and they say that is apparently party of “thumbstick drift” which they do not cover, and would charge me $60 to repair (on a controller that I paid over $200 for). I’m not sure why that is considered under thumbstick drift, but the fact that the controller has had to be sent in 3 to 4 times in less than a year for repairs shows that it is a low quality controller.
I have asked for a refund or repair, and they refuse to do so now without me paying. Overall, I like the idea of this controller, however it is very low quality and by no means would recommend it. Unfortunately this was not a good purchase made, and please read this when thinking of purchasing their controllers."
"Do not waste your money. Feels cheap. Buttons don't stay set. Back paddles are just in the way."
