"I ordered a senior citizens cell phone (big buttons) from this site on December 4, 2009. I was hopeful I'd receive it before Christmas so I could give it to my mother. It's now January 6, 2010 and I haven't received it yet.

I've sent three e-mails to the site asking if the item has been shipped and requesting tracking info. I've gotten no response from them at all.

I'm in the process of filing a claim through paypal; hopefully I can get my $79.00 back.

I wouldn't do business with this site at all

"Bad experience with this merchant:

1.I t took almost a month from the moment I paid to the moment the order was shipped.
2. Few days after I paid $20 for the item (still weeks before shipping it), the price has dropped to $16 and the merchant promised to refund $4 difference but never actually did that.
3. After the promise of refund, merchant stopped replying any emails from me. Despite many emails I sent asking for order status update, none of them were answered.
4. This merchant violated Visa rules by charging credit card before shipping the order. When I told him about this fact, he replied that Visa is mistaken, so I gave him a link to rules document on visa.com website - he never replied to that email as well.

Will never do business with ExtraChit again!

"Not sure if it was simply a fluke or a sign of something bigger, but my experience with ExtraChit.com was a series of promises and letdowns that culminated in my order finally arriving more than 1 month later. I placed my order on July 14th and received a confirmation shortly after ordering. From that point, I heard nothing about the status of my order until I emailed (and posted on the ExtraChit support forums) 10 days later asking if my order had shipped yet, and if so what the tracking number was. No response to these inquiries, so I emailed and posted again on August 4th after finding that my previous forum post was deleted (along with my forum account). I got a reply from Stephen Soape (the owner) stating that due to s astring of storms followed by a hacked server had delayed the processing and shipping of orders, but that my order would go out soon. Sure enough, I got a UPS tracking number that evening. Still, that tracking number wasn't in UPS's system until one week later, August 11. My order finally arrived on August 17th.

My biggest complaint has to be that ExtraChit made no effort to let me know what was going on with my order, and it was only through my persistent efforts that I got any information about when my order would be shipped. My dealings with them were always pleasant, but it's very frustrating as a customer to have to feel like you need to remind a business on the basics of how to take care of a customer.

I'm very reluctant to buy from them again, but if you only care about a great price, and don't care about knowing when your order will ever arrive, ExtraChit may be the place for you.

"Ordered a flashlight to see how the company was, But last I checked it said Processing now they have removed my membership totally. BAD BAD company and will never order from them again nor will I pass them onto friends.Emailed Customer service with no response."

"I noted that the site claimed shipments took "7-14 days" but placed the order. On 7/28 I noticed the order was still 'pending' and contacted the merchant by email.

I recieved a quick reply from the CEO of Extrachit, who assured me that the order would ship that day or the next, and that to make it up to me for the delay, he would make sure my next order went out overnight at no extra charge, which wasn't really required but a nice gesture.

As of today, it still hasn't arrived. Checking the order status indicated that the product had shipped via UPS on 8/6, but a quick check of the tracking number showed that though UPS had generated a tracking number for it, they had not yet recieved a package to actually ship.

Contacting Extrachit again resulted in an email reply indicating that "UPS has loaded all packages and assures us that your tracking number will be active today as they have had to scan a huge number of packages. Thank you for your patience."

It seemed pretty unlikely, especially since a google maps search of the address of Extrachit shows a residential neighborhood in Tyler, Texas.
