I purchased an Extra Small size AGV K3 Dreamtime helmet from this store on May 8th of 2018. The helmet was used for 3 months before being stored for the winter in my home. I purchased a new helmet and made the decision to sell the AGV dreamtime helmet I purchased from Extreme Supply.
It was at this time i made the decision to wash the liner of said helmet so that the new owner did not get an unclean helmet. At approximately 9:30 am i pulled said liner out of the helmet. it was at this time that the helmet began to fall apart. the chin/mouth guard completely fell out of the helmet. this piece is not removable and should not under any circumstances be removed. upon inspection of this piece i found that the metal mesh vents on this mouth guard were also falling off.
at this point i inspected the helmet and realized that the entire inside of the helmet was falling apart. I then reached out to Extreme supply Sales Manager Robert Gatlin who informed me the helmet was under warranty by AGV since it was purchased less that a year ago. all that i needed to do was send pictures and a description of the damages to Mr. Gatlin and he would send them over to AGV, the manufacturer.
On April 1st, the manufacturer sent an email stating the helmet would not be covered because the damaged looked like a handling issue. Mr. Gatlin sent me the contact information of Mr. Rhett Williamson the warranty handler at AGV. I reached out to MR. Williamson on April 5th 2019, upon learning of the full story Mr. Williamson requested more pictures to take an effective approach at properly diagnosing the problem. on April 8th 2019,I called Mr. Williamson again and it was at this time that he informed me the helmet was manufactured 8 years ago.
As such the helmet should have never been sold by that supplier as it is industry common knowledge that a helmets shelf life ranges from 5-7 years before it is completely unsafe for use. For this reason AGV could not offer me a refund under the warranty coverage because warranty coverage is for manufacturers defects, this specific case was not a defect at all but rather negligence by the store for selling such a helmet. Mr. Williamson provided me this information via email as proof for a claim of refund against the store.
At 6:56 pm, on April 8, 2019 i called Mr. Gatlin of Extreme Supply and explained the situation. Mr. Gatlin offered many statements including,
"You should have known the helmet was old because it was on sale,"
"the best i can do is give you 30% off another helmet,"
'I have never been told by the manufacturer that there is a shelf life for motorcycle helmets"
and quite a few more worrying comments
He then refused to let me speak to the owner telling me he was the only person I would be speaking to
Mr. Gatlin ended the phone call by stating if i could produce the email from Mr. Williamson stating Extreme Supply was liable he would discuss refund possibilities.
At 7:50 p.m. on April 8, 2019 i sent that email proof to Mr. Gatlin, he has since refused to respond to any communication attempts.
THIS HELMET COULD HAVE LEAD TO MY DEATH IF I HAD BEEN UNFORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE IN AN ACCIDENT. Mr. Gatlin said and I quote "I guess that's true but it probably wouldn't of happened".
this business is disgustingly negligent and them going out of business would be a service to riders everywhere."
"I picked the helmet at closet out section but the helmet wasn't available any more I called them and David gave me the same price on the different helmet. Great price and service thanks George "

Check out the lowest price of Extreme Supply's Sidi Vertigo Race Boots vs. the lowest price at Athlete Shop. Extreme's price is $315, Athlete Shop's is $185.02 + $27 shipping.
According to the teenager at Extreme, he "doesn't know why Athlete Shop is so low, and there's no way Extreme Supply can match that price."
Both sites had boots in the exact same size available.
Also, Extreme's advertisement of "Satisfaction Guaranteed" does not apply to closeout items. The same teenager explained that there are not returns for any reason, even product defects, on closeout items..."
"I'm afraid that previous reviewers are correct -- ExtremeSupply uses a "bait and switch" model for their website sales, luring in customers with low prices on wanted items, only to reveal that the desired size is out of stock. MAKE SURE YOU CALL TO ENSURE YOUR ITEM IS IN STOCK BEFORE ORDERING ONLINE. Fortunately for me, thanks to these reviews, I called before placing my order and was told that they no longer had my style in stock, but they could check on pricing on the "newer" and more expensive item for me. ExtremeSupply DOES NOT have a good inventory system on their website, so do not trust anything you see on there. I'm sure their retail location is fine, but the website needs work."
"Folks, listen to the people writing these bad reviews about them and avoid them like the plague and save your time. I ordered from them then a few days later I emailed about shipping and got no response. I emailed them again and no response. Next notification I get is from Paypal saying they refunded me. No explanation, no "Im sorry" nothing. Just a refund and thats it. I think they are incompetent. "
"I just bought a AGV AX-8 Dual Evo Off Road MX Helmets - 2012 from this seller and got it yesterday, I must say every time I try a new reseller there's a little concern about the process (I usually get my stuff from revzilla) most of all when you don't live in the states and any change could cost a lot. I must say that I cannot be more satisfied I just got mi helmet yesterday, and all the process and the customer service given by Michael Lacunza was just great!"
"I purchased a Giro Xar helmet from them in Sept. 2012 off of their Amazon store. When I received the helmet, it was a 2010 model. Giro puts stickers inside the helmet with the production month and date. The helmet also had some sign of wear like it was used before.
I contacted them to make them aware of the issue I had. I told them I wanted a replacement with a new 2012 model, or provide me with a return shipping label to return the product for a full refund. They responded with BS and told me that I paid a cheap price for the Xar and if I wanted a new 2012 model I would need to go on their website and pay full MSRP. I replied back letting them know that they shouldn't be selling outdated used product on Amazon as new current models. I can purchase the exact same helmet, new 2012 model, directly from Amazon.com for the same price.
We communicated back and forth a few more times by email and they even gave me a call. All I kept getting from them is they couldn't exchange it for a new 2012 Xar helmet.
At this point all I wanted to do was return the product and get my refund so I could re-purchase it from somewhere else. I asked them to provide me with a pre-paid return label or request a UPS/Fedex pick for their package. I never got that.
I ended up filing a complaint with Amazon.
I will mention that they did process the order and ship out the package very fast. I would have given them 5 stars if only they would have shipped what I expected to receive."
"Great customer service! Talk to ****@**** He is very knowledgable and great to deal with.

"I ordered a HJC GRIMM helmet and gloves from the closeout sale that was at a minimum 60 dollar cheaper that elsewhere. I placed the order and then checked the reviews and when I saw the neg reviews, I was aghast.
Substantiating the reviews here, I got an email from Victor the next day telling me the helmet was out of stock but they can get them in 4-5 days and then ship them to me. for the gloves they said they are out of it and wont be able to honor the deal.
so anyway Victor sends me another email telling me the item has been shipped. I got the helmet a couple of days ago and got to say it was shipped right and made it in one piece.
The communication from Victor was very good and also he made sure he charged me only for the helmet at the agreed upon price. so I will buy more stuff from here for my motorcycle needs."
"BEWARE!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!! This is the worst place I have ever dealt with. In October 2011, after placing an order for $69.00 heated gloves, I was notified that they were on back order and would be shipped before January 2012. I was asked at that time if I wanted to wait for the gloves and I said yes. I was notified in January, by phone, that they had received the shipment of gloves but that the price had changed from $69.00 to an outrageous $199.00!!! They refused to honor the original price and did not even make any attempt at customer satisfaction. Typical BAIT AND SWITCH!!! BEWARE!!!"
"I ordered a pair of Sidi bicycle shoes. After having made the order they sent me an email saying they did not have them in inventory. After having offered a newer version in another color for the same price they sent me another message reneging and trying to get me to pay more. "
"I just received my Gaerne SG10's. They were over $100 less than what I have found other places so I ws a little skeptical. The boots came in much sooner than I expected. No surprises. Just fast, effecient, and quality service. These guys are great to do business with. "
"J. Cesar at Extreme Supply was awesome to deal with. I ended up purchasing a motocross helmet for my son... Cannot say enough positive things about the customer service I received, and the outstanding stock of merchandise."
"Worst customer service ever!!! Do not let these people rip you off. They are the worst to deal with. Over 6 weeks to get a helmet shipped. It arrived defective and too small. Would not take it back without restocking fee. They wanted me to upgrade to a helmet that was $500 more....which I did, but I bought it from their competitor because Extreme Supply has the WORST customer service ever. "
"Extreme Supply is the worst place to buy your gear, if you don't want to waste your money DO NOT BUY FROM EXTREME SUPPLY! I bought an Icon helmet from them in October of 2009, which sounds like a long time, but in reality I can count on less then 2 hands how many times I've used it. Most of the time it just sits on a shelf with the rest of the motorcycle gear because I only ride with my boyfriend. I've never dropped it, hit it, or let anyone else use it and it's already falling apart. I tried to see if they could do anything about it since it's been only sitting on a shelf and was told they sell parts for helmets so I look at it and aparently they do, only not for Icon helmets. Atleast not the parts I needed so I'm screwed pretty much. When I spent close to $400 on a helmet I expected it to last longer then 14 months especially when I hardly use it. Never again will I shop here and neither should you! Veeeery cheap quality and cheap customer service!!"
