"This is certainly not the very best Internet buying experience I have ever had. That said, I finally got what I wanted but not without some "prodding". The fellow who owns and runs this website is Dean S. Steinberger O.D. He has an office in Mission Hills, CA (which shows up as the address on the EyeDocShoppe.com invoice). He was formerly located in Studio City, CA; no longer there. I placed the order through the website, and the charges showed up on my credit card under Steinberger's name. I can't say I was wild about that. Steinberger's cell phone number shows up on a Yelp review. So, with that, I was able to communicate directly with him via text messages. After some delay, with zero communication in the meantime, I sent an "assertive" text to him about the delay on my order.
After that, he became very responsive and followed-up, both via text messages and two e-mail follow-up messages,, complete with a USPS Tracking Number, as I requested. I paid $10.95 for 5-9 day Priority Mail, which I did not really get. Yes, he shipped it Priority Mail, but it took 14 calendar days for the order to arrive. He also added-in a $4.95 "Handling Charge". Hmmmm, okay, whatever. I finally got what I ordered, but not without some angst. If you order from this website, READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS VERY CAREFULLY."

"I bought some frames for my kid on the website. Wasn't sure how they would look on him. They sent it fast and I didn't like the color. The representative said " no problem" and exchanged them for me with a new color within a week. She was so nice! It was hard for me to choose a company, but my friend had told me about them, so I gave them a try. I don't understand where the negative reviews are coming from though, I would definitely recommend them."
"My experience with Eyedocshoppe.com was more than satisfactory. The Nike eyeglass frames I ordered came with a really nice case. As near as I can tell they are authentic. I guess I won't know that until I get them to an eyeglass specialist.
There was a 10 business day backorder from the manufacturer but when I called to originally place the order, they clearly mentioned that there would be a 10 day delay so there was no surprise. What is a surprise is that they came 2 days early, so it was only 8 days.
Overall, I have no complaints. The gentleman I talked to on the phone was very friendly and polite. I would recommend calling them first to ensure they have what you are looking for in stock. This way you are not surprised, and left wondering why your order has not come yet. That is just my two cents though."

"Although they had a sub-par rating I took the gamble and went for it. This was a terrible mistake. I was told more stories than a mother goose book. I'll keep it short. Lied about the back order. .(lie verified through manufacture who stated ship the same day on calls before 3". My address was "invalid" later told nevermind it was found.(I live in a major area). "Your tracking number should have been sent to you". 2 days later I called saying your website doesn't doesn't recognize my email. "Our website is being worked on, I'll resend your tracking info" 2 days later usps priority mail stated they received pick up information from them. NEVER AGAIN!!! $4 just isn't worth it. Especially the expedited shipping. "
