"This vendor of eyeglasses and paraphrenalia has an extensive listing of merchandise stock and the site accepted my order for a set of frames with no hesitation or proviso.
I had some trouble finding these frames online but was quite relieved to see them offered for sale at eyehoo.com as it would be inconvenient for me to go to an optician just now.
Their pricing was no bargain- just MSRP- but it was the convenience factor which motivated me to order online. I was in a rush but didn't wish to go the brick'n'mortar route. I placed the order on 2/14/03. Then I patiently waited for a parcel.
On 2/22/03 I received an email (form letter in appearance) to the effect that these frames were not available. I am angry since I cannot understand why a slick website/enterprise (as this appears to be) cannot incorporate an accurate database of available stock. It should never have taken them 8 days to inform me.
Most telling: 4 days after their email to me the site STILL indicates that the frames are available! That's just not right."
