"Placed Order on 8/5, called to follow up on 8/13 and was told by Customer Service: "Order will ship in about a week"
Me: "So is the item not in stock?"
Customer Service: "Well it was kind-of out of stock, but we have it now"
WTF does kind of out of stock mean?
Me: "Well if you have it now, why is going to be a week to ship?"
Customer Service: "Well, that's how long it takes to ship"
Me: "So these were supposed to ship in 3-5 days, we're now at 7-days, and you're telling me they're not even going to ship for another week?"
Customer Service: "Errrr, well, uh, yeah" stammer stammer
I get the feeling that they're full of BS and still don't have the item in stock....the Customer Service Rep. was obviously scrambling and stammering which didn't give me much confidence in Her responses...I'm sure I wasn't the first dissatisfied customer putting a damper on her Monday. Will be canceling my order if I don't receive follow up by the end of the week. Would much rather have paid full price for these sunglasses in return for a decent turn-around time on my order. Bad experience so far...
FOLLOW UP 9/7/12:
After my previous review, I was contacted by eyesave and offered free shipping on my order, and an additional 10% discount. They apologized for the delay and said my order would be shipped within 1 week. I found this acceptable at the time, however, 8-days later I still hadn't received my shipping confirmation. When I inquired with eyesave again, they said sorry, but now my item Would NOT SHIP FOR ANOTHER 2-WEEKS!!! Soooo misleading! That would mean it would have been over 30 days to receive my order. I immediately canceled my order, and re-ordered the same item from Zappos (for full retail price), and received the item 4 days from the date of the order.
WRT Eyesave.com's response below: I did not say anything about an 'elaborate scam'. What I meant was that I would much rather have purchase the sunglasses for full price FROM ANOTHER VENDOR in order to receive them in a timely manner, WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I DID! I just wasted 3-weeks with the eyesave order in between. If you don't mind waiting 1 month for you sunglasses, by all means, order from eyesave. If you need to receive your item within a reasonable timeframe, BUY FROM ANOTHER VENDOR! Seriously, one of the most frustrating consumer experiences of my life!"

"Ordered a pair of Maui Jim glasses on March 14th. FINALLY shipping today (3/26). I called to check a week ago and the customer service representative wasn't able to even tell me when they would ship. Really? Poor shipping and customer service. I was about to cancel today and NOW since my order is supposedly shipping I cannot. Based on other reviews I can't even expect new glasses it seems. I WILL NOT ORDER FROM THIS RETAILER AGAIN.
