"My son got me a set of bed lights for my 2018 F150 standard cab pickup for christmas. They have a nice video online and come with instructions that appear pretty simple. Turns out they are really for a small bed, not 8ft. So they sent me some wire with connectors to make an extension, but when I was in the process of putting that together the lights fell apart at a spot difficult to repair. So I requested a new set with the proper length. I received those, the lights are still for the small bed but at least I had enough wire. So I run the wires to the passenger side footwell and I found the colored wire which is positive for the rear light above the cab and clip to that. But there is no ground as described in the instructions to be found. They suggest using ground clips so I visit 4 stores before I find some. These don't work reliably. Sometimes the lights are dim, usually actually. So I called them back and sent photos of the wire bundles. There is this large black wire wrapped loosely in plastic. Looks like a ground so they tell me to use that, but none of the taps are big enough for it. I went to 3 stores and gave up. So they sent me some larger taps and I clip on there. Lights are working well, yay! A month goes buy and my wife is using the truck to move someone and when she gets home she tells me the microphone in the vehicle doesn't work. I never use it. Since the truck is new I take it to the dealer. He replaces the a-pin (major component) and it doesn't help, so he starts ripping the car apart. Litter ally, seats and everything are spread out the garage before he finds this clip for the bed lights. Guess what, the wire they told me to use is the communications channel for the truck, not ground. They disconnected this and the mic works. He reassembled the truck and I asked him to connect those wires to ground but he could not find a ground either so he left them disconnected and give me a bill for over $500. I sent this bill and info to f150leds and they said they would look for another option. That was over a month ago and there has been no response. So I'm out almost 600, still with no lights. Beware of these guys because they don't really know the vehicles and their instructions are wrong!"
