"On June 23, 2011,I ordered $45,000 of Doors and Windows, excluding any installation cost. The doors were ordered unfinished but were to have an inherent dark wood color. This was critical since they are fiberglass and staining is difficult. When the doors arrived they were a light wood tone and one door jam was badly damaged. I called the FAS salesman who took the order, Rod Henderson, but he denied the doors were supposed to be a dark tone. I reminded him that my property manager and contractor were there at the time everything was ordered and all specifically remember my dragging out the order process to make sure the color of the doors would be dark not light. Rod responded that the doors were never supposed to be inherently dark colored and were unfinished, and said he would do nothting for me. I called FAS corporate in Orlando, discussed the situation with them, and they told me they would do nothing to correct the situation... and they implied that I should have known that unfinished meant a light color inspite of their rep telling me it would be dark colored. As of August 20, 2011, I am also still waiting to receive a repalcement for the damaged door.
Bottom line, unless I wanted to spend thousands sueing them, I am out of luck and have to stain the doors at my own expense. I cannot recommend this company to anyone and warn all that you do business with this company at your own peril. They say anything to get a sale and unless you want to add the expense of having an attorney with you at the time of purchase and then adding the expense of paying for an attorney when they do not produce the product you ordered along with the expense of contruction delays, AVOID THIS COMPANY. They have an A rating with the BBB, but I have submitted a formal complaint to BBB also and am waiting for a BBB response."
