"figis last system wide update to accounts online has seriously munged up my credit with them. i had to break down to do the old fashioned money order deal.. i sent it out accordingly and in a swift timely manner. well, guess what? now i'm behind.. they said there was no money order received and plus i've put on a tracer for the money order but these representatives INSIST that my tracer ill legit because i can't use the recipients copy as proof? huh? first of all why couldn't figis keep accounts online and in order while they updated? other companies and even lousy banks can do that with their eyes closed... the complete shutdown, i'm told, was ucalled for and has caused a few problems with other account holders.
gee, this is comforting to know. that now not only is my account trashed but i'm dueling wits with people who don't understand how a money order works... :(
gee, somehow i'm suppose to have the original money order endorsed by figis as proof that they'll ONLY accept....
yeh, ooooooooookay.. i hate to see what happens next when i find that the money order was deposited/cashed by figis and my legitimate proof is invalid because they say so.
they're as bad as montgomery wards and the seventh ave. company."
"Recently, I purchased the Monkey Bread for myself and also ordered one for my son. Figis duplicated my order so my son ended up with 2 of them. He got his order within 3 days, while mine took 7. When mine arrived, it was dry and very disappointing. The bread was heavy and had little taste, except for the very top sections where there were pecans.
I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on this product and I don't think I will be ordering from Figis again, for my bill is now several dollars more than what the orginal order came to and I was refunded the one order that was duplicated. I still don't understand how my bill ended up costing more. "
"Figis failed to get a present from my father in-law to us. Period. He ordered in time for us to have the product to share with family and friends over the Christmas holiday. He checked on the order and found it was damaged, then they said they were shipping it, and it would get here by Christmas, then, by New Years. Figis did nothing to try to make the order right, much less try to retain a customer. They SAY they will refund his money, but he has yet to see the charge reversed on his credit card. I almost wonder if their operation just runs on the float of the cash that they will be refunding. Very bad company to deal with. Order from "
"I placed an order with Figi's for a Christmas gift in late November. After receiving two suspicious phone calls from people claiming to be with Figis asking for credit card information, I contacted the company directly. They had no record of these requests for credit card information, could not tell if the order had been charged, and could not tell if the order had been shipped because they gave my order to a vendor. What?! I changed my credit card number and asked to cancel my order with Figi's. I thought everything was resolved.
Now three weeks later, I was charged for the order. Figi's said the order had been shipped from the vendor over five weeks ago. I never received the order. No record of my canceling the order, and Figi's now refuses to allow me to cancel the order. They also refused to allow me to contact the vendor directly. I received a lecture about how I should have recorded names and times of each interaction with the company. I'm sorry that I didn't keep a log of my seven phone calls to Figi's, most of which ate up precious time from my recent vacation. Somehow it wasn't at the top of my priority list to gather bits of information that different representatives threw my way to figure out what happened to my order. All I want to do is pay for the item and receive it. I don't think that is too much to ask. They brushed me off and said they would contact the vendor.
How can a company sell your order to a third party and then have absolutely no information about the order status? I have decided to dispute the charge with my credit card company as unauthorized. Please, save yourself from countless hours on the phone and the hassle of closing your credit card account and do not buy from Figi's. I understand that mistakes happen and I was willing to work with Figi's for a resolution, but the level of incompetence here is stunning. If you do have the misfortune of having to interact with Figi's customer service, ask for different representatives until you get someone that has some idea of what is going on. In the words of a worker in the credit department of Figi's, "Let me transfer you back to customer service, it really depends on who you get down there." "
"I had been ordering the beef sticks from Figis.com and as far as the sticks go they are great. However this time they doubled my order and to my dismay would not take back the extra order. I finally got tired to arguing with them and I donot order there anymore."
"On June 19,2006 I bought at Figis .com 2 items on sale (for $7.99 and $3.99) that with shipping charge of $1.99 cost $13.97. With 25% discount applied the price for that order was supposed to be $10.99. Figis charged $35.22 on my credit card on June 20. I was overcharged by $24.23. Figis did not provide an invoice or even an order number on checkout or in the email confirmations, which was the first red flag. I wrote to Figis about the problem. The customer service representative called to me and told that I am going to pay $35.22 since I have no proof of item prices, she agreed though that 25% discount was applied and when I tried to talk to her she just hung up. Fortunately I did have proof. When I went to my computer browser history to June 19 when the purchase was made I was able to print out the pages with prices I was originally supposed to pay.
I wrote back to Figis.com and presented proof. After that I got the email from Chris Letterman Customer Service Relations on July 4.“A credit has been applied to your account in response to your recent contact. A statement showing this adjustment has been mailed to you”. I didn’t get any statement. Few days later I saw online that Figis.com credit back $6. That means that I was still overcharged on $18.23. At that point I disputed the charge with credit card company.
Based on Better Business Bureau files, Figis has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to unanswered complaints. The Bureau processed a total of 85 complaints about this company in the last 36 months. Buyers, beware!"
