"I ordered my first pair of cell phones via the internet from FONCentral.com and will never return. I received the phones quickly and received rebates to the tune of actually making money with Mail-In-Rebates (MIR) I purchased 2 Motorola E815 phones at $249.99 each. I was presented with rebates of $50.00, $75.00, and $125.00, with a free bluetooth headset to boot.
1)The bluetooth headsets were not what was described in the description
2)The rebates have ***ALL*** been emailed back to me saying that they were INVALID.
A few things to remember. The ***FINE PRINT*** on the rebates state a few things like...1)Mail this in between 180-210 days from setting up service and things to this nature, which I have done. I purchased these in September, 2005 and have waited now until March 24, 2006 before mailing them in (so that they were sent in during the very short 180-210 day window)
All rebates are said to be INVALID. What a scam!
I will never do business like this over the internet with FONCentral.com or any other inphonic.com reseller.

"I purchased a T-Mobile phone and service thru FonCentral. The phone came with 2 $25 rebates. I sent them in after having two months service with T-Mobile. The rebate forms said 6-8 weeks to process. I called two months after submitting the rebates (Dec 2004)and was told that I would receive one check in April 2005 and another in May 2005 (not mentioned on the forms). In June 2005 I attempted to call FonCentral about the rebates. They had changed their Customer Sevice system in such a way that it require an invoice number to gain access to their representatives. My invoice has no number just a Customer ID and Package #. Access into their web page requires the same information. Calling the 1-800 number only gets you to the ordering section and they have no means of contacting Customer Service accept thru the 1-800 number and that requires an invoice number they did not provide. I tried using the system they have for those who have forgotten their invoice number - doesn't know me.They don't list an e-mail address but I tried sending some to ****@**** and they did not come back as non-deliverable or ever answered. I submitted a complaint with the BBB in NY. After six months they informed me that FonCentral had moved once in NY and now has moved to Maryland. My feelings is that FonCentral never intended to send rebates to its customers then. They used that money to establish itself and then moved out of NY to prevent legal matters. They have set up a system to prevent those customer from reaching them. If you look around the web you will find the same or better deals. Trust me you do not want to go through the things I have. I have not given up but I'm not holding my breath. Chris Cicero, I ordered from you the President. You must be very proud of yourself. Your family must really look up to you. Maybe someday you'll tell them where the money came from. "
