"I bought a DVD Box Set from them of Desperate Housewives. It is in a professional looking package and is labeled as Season 1-7 The Complete Edition. Problem is, most of the DVD's are not region 1 as advertised, so they won't play in American DVD players. The discs that do play have a local network logo in the bottom on the screen (indicating they were recorded off TV). I have contacted ABC, who has indicated that this is not even a legitmate box set that was ever released by ABC. I have filed a dispute through PayPal to get my money back. This company is the biggest scam - BEWARE!"

I purchased a boxset remastered Star Trek Voyager S1-7 which are obviously pirated copies. Several DVDs freeze and reveal pixels where there shouldn't be any if the DVDs were originals. Have requested a refund through paypal.
The above review from BBB in USA revealed that FunTvShop do not have a physical address in USA or Oz. FunTvShop have certainly lost any credibility for me and am contemplating reporting them for producing pirated goods.
I emailed them direct and have yet to receive a response from them, however as I paypal'd the transaction, I feel confident I'll receive a response through paypal.

"I ordered 4 boxsets of dvd's for my 3 kids christmases. I paid on the 30th of November but due to the very bad weather they did not arrive in time for christmas. I was very annoyed about this but you can't help the weather. I got them on the 1st week in January and kids are happy. I must say Maria Ramos the sales manager Was great. She replied to all my emails and kept me informed, she also arranged a discount for me because I had received them after a lengthy delay. "i thought the price was too good to be true, and it was. apparently i received a notice on my door that my item was in; however, i was unaware of this until, after hearing nothing for several weeks, i checked on the status and was told it had already been shipped back to china. "I ordered "That 70 Show" box set for my hubby for Christmas. I ordered on Black Friday b/c they were offering a GREAT discount on boxed sets. It was getting close to Christmas and my order was not in yet. I contacted Fun TV Shop and they were very kind to resend my order (it had been delayed due to the weather). It arrived 2 days before Christmas-FANTASTIC....
BUT now that we have had the chance to start watching the dvds, we are having lots of problems with them. They don't play well and freeze up. We are very UPSET!!! We are able to get through most of the episodes but we have to watch them on our son's portable Dvd player.
We think that the dvds are burned too quickly (bad replications) and our US dvd players have a hard time reading them properly.
I have tried to contact funtvshop for replacements or a refund but have not heard back.
As of right now I am VERY DISAPPOINTED and would really like my MONEY BACK!!! So much for trying to save a little money. Every time we sit down to watch some of the episodes I am very embarrassed by the quality of gift that I got my Hubby. I will NOT BUY FROM FUN TV SHOP AGAIN."
"Ordered the full 7 seasons of Two and a Half Men. Parts didn't play well on my DVD player, but most were fixed with new Blue-Ray replacement. Biggest beef is two of the seasons (4 and 7) look like they were copied off a TV screen (Network logo in bottom corner and pop-ups for what program followed constantly coming up or displayed). Also bad quality video on those DVDs and several seasons didn't have extra features or display full program (credits).
Would have returned product but return window too small for watching 7 seasons of a TV show. Lesson learned, get what you pay for. Wouldn't say my overall rating would be very dissatisfied more than very disappointing. Currently replacing slipshod seasons from other vendors."

When I requested a refund they claimed they were not illegal but "licenced copies", & offered me money to to keep them. I have since received another email again denying they're illegal & offering a higher financial incentive to keep them! Very poor business practices. Buyer beware, unless you're actually wanting to buy pirated movies."
