"I placed an order back in July for three items. Two of them showed up a month later but without the third piece, the other two are useless (an external antenna that came in two parts and an extended battery). After a number of emails back and forth, I was told to be patient. It has been close to two months and I still haven't received the last part of the order, nor an email with an update on the status. The part is STILL listed as "in stock" on the website (as it was when I placed the order). I am less than satisfied with their service, and their lack of courtesy as displayed in their emails. The lack of a phone number should be a tip-off.
I have already contacted my credit card company and I suspect I will be receiving a credit."
"I ordered a cell phone battery with them and after 10 days since I did not receive it, I sent an e-mail to ****@**** as they had suggested from my hotmail account. I waited for a week and since I did not get any response, I decided to try again.
But, then I thought maybe their automated reply got into my junk mail and yes, I did find it in my junk mail. So, I read through the automated response and found that they had given a different e-mail address (****@****) to be written to, if the automated e-mail did not answer my question.
I wrote to this e-mail address and I got a reply back within a couple of hours stating that my order has been shipped, but it was a little late because they had to get it from somewhere.
Overall, it was an pretty good experience even though I think it will be better if they could send a confirmation once an order is placed and also if could send a confirmation once an order is shipped.
I will still wait to actually receive the battery.
[EDIT] Today, September 10th (the day after I posted the original review), after approximately 16 days, I did receive the order in perfect condition.
I should also add that their web site is excellent. I was trying to buy a battery for my LG phone and was looking at one with a longer life. The web site clearly indicated that I buy that battery, then I will have to buy a new charger because it will not fit in the original cradle. This saved me money and time."
"BAD BAD BAD. They advertised a charger for my phone, but it wasn't the right one. After arguing with them they agreed to let me return it (reluctantly, and only after offering suggestions on how to jimmy rig the charger), only to charge me 20% restocking. Between that and shipping I paid $14 for nothing (total order was $24). "

"Well, color me surprised. My order from Factory Direct Cellular just arrived.
Twelve days ago, I ordered a new battery for my LG 4400 and a travel charger. After pressing "Submit order," I realized I hadn't researched this company, and was just trusting them based on their professional-looking Web site.
So I Googled their name and the word "complaints." There were tons of matches. Sheeit. I've been had, I thought. (no company phone number?? what the hey?)
Well, my order did arrive, and at less than $50 total, it was a considerable savings over the local Radio Shack.
I can only come to two conclusions: FDC has cleaned up their act, or they're a scam operation that ocassionally fulfills an order to string people along. I can't ignore all the complaints on this board, but neither can I ignore that my order arrived as promised. Caveat emptor.

""Reputable" is not the word to use for this group of non-professionals. I placed an order with for some cell phone accessories. I was given a transaction number and approval of payment. After hearing nothing for two (2) weeks, I decided to contact them. Low, and behold, there is no phone, and the only email site is the "issues..." website. That is when I realized this company would rip me off. I faxed FACTORY DIRECT CELLULAR a note of cancellation. I also contacted my credit card company to "dispute" the charges. When the rep began to ask questions, his screen "DEFAULTED" TO THE BOTTOM WITH A MEMO THAT NO ANSWERS WE NEEDED....JUST CREDIT THE CARD HOLDER'S ACCOUNT. Now that should tell you something folks.
NEVER, EVER, WILL I HAVE ANY FURTHER DEALINGS WITH FACTORY DIRECT CELLULAR, AND WOULD RECOMMEND PRAYERFUL CONSIDERATION PRIOR TO DEALING WITH THIS GROUP OF PEOPLE.

"AVOID Factory Direct Cellular. Ripoff! Crooks! They charged my credit card, weeks and weeks go by... and nothing. When I faxed (the only number that answers is the fax line... not even the phone number on file with the credit card company works) and emailed them with the news that the next day I was cancelling the charge with my credit card company... lo and behold... the stuff appears shortly thereafter. But it appears I'm one of the lucky few who actually received goods... many others have just been screwed with nothing. I should've researched them before buying... never again will I buy from a site where the phone doesn't answer (and I'll always check first in the future). Of my literally hundreds of internet transactions, this was by far the worst. If you deal with them after reading this, you deserve what you get. Please, please learn from my mistake."
