"HORRIBLE. I ordered a costume for my daughter, a green fairy costume. not only was the sizing WRONG, it was DEFECTIVE, it was supposed to have light up fiber optics and it didn't work. After sending in THREE different emails and phone calls about the problem, they told me that I have to pay for a replacement. NEVER EVER BUY FROM HERE"
"I broke my rule of not ordering from a place with no phone number, and now I regret it. The store website says that they ship the same day if order is received by 1 pm. So, on May 8, I ordered a toy barn for a birthday present. I specifically avoided the ones that said they were shipped from manufacturer, because I wanted it on time. I wrote an email comment indicating that I needed the barn by a certain date....
Guess what? I ordered on May 8 and my tracking info shows that the manufacturer did not ship till May 14 pm. So Farm Goods not only doesn't take phone calls -- they don't seem to read their email.
Plus, the price looked low, but shipping costs (which could not be ascertained until ordering) made the total price higher than prices I later checked out on Amazon.
Moral - no phone = no commitment to customer service.
I wish I could explain this to my child with no big birthday present!"
"I bought a Halloween costume for my 18 months old son through Farm Goods For Kids. There were two sizes available, “infants 1-2” and “toddlers 2-4”. The size charts on the website only list measurements such as waist and height which are unrelated to the specified sizes of the costume. And there is no phone number to call for clarifications. I ordered the 1-2, assuming that it means 1-2 years old. When the costume arrived I saw that actually 1-2 is for infants up to 12 months, and 2-4 is for toddlers 1-2 years old. The exchange policy says that they are happy to replace costumes for size, but actually I had to buy a new costume, return the first one and hope for reimbursement at their discretion. I specifically explained the problem in a letter accompanying the costume I returned, and emphasized my child’s age of 18 months. I received another costume, this time size "toddler 2-4". But alas! This time it was made by a different manufacturer and for this one “infant 1-2” is actually for 1-2 year olds, and “toddler 2-4” if for ages 2-4 (as I thought in the first place!) So now the costume was too big! The whole experience was ridiculous and frustrating, it cost me a lot of money and aggravation. This was my worst experience shopping online, I will never buy from Farm Goods For Kids again."
"Shopping with this store was very pleasant during such a busy time of the year. My order shipped out the next day and I received it 3 days later. Thanks to Farm Goods for Kids my Christmas shopping was so easy!"
"So far, this experience has been miserable. Something as simple as using Paypal has been very stressful - can't get confirmation that order has gone thru or when will shipping occur - and these are CHRISTMAS PRESENTS for my kids.
We shall see how this is resolved but so far I have wasted at least 3 hours of my life trying to find out the payment and shipping status of my order and have gotten totally worthless semi-form replies from their service people with no alternative way ( email for someone other than service department, phone number, etc) to resolve this."
