"I knew I had to find a quality engagement ring with wedding band but I didn't know anything about diamond or emerald. first, I did my research and found about the 4 Cs. Also, I found that brick and motor jewelry shops are overrated. I found out that you can look at some of the online retailers such as Blue Nile but I didn't like their selections and/or price. I read that there are some good smaller retailers on EBay so I looked around.
I "watched" dozens of rings. Fascinating Diamonds had a "offer" button so I messed around and offered 2K for a 3K ring. Roger realized the trend and messaged me whether I wanted to see some selections within the range. I told him my intention and my real budget.
I talked to other EBay retailers and found Fascinating Diamonds to be most creditable. apart from their reviews, they are the only one who is honest. Some of the other ones are not GIA certified but loves to say that their diamonds are comparable... it's like saying Lil Wayne is as good as Tupac.
Roger walked me through different diamonds and gave me options. I finally found the setting I loved, and he arranged one that's within my budget and what I really want. I wanted Green Emerald as side stones and he gave me my options. Then I thought I picked this perfect .96 cushion diamond, with excellent cut, VSS1, and G color.
Well, we came to agree on the price. So I thought we were done. But he called me a couple days later and told me that even though GIA standards are excellent, the diamond lacks that luster. I asked him to send me a picture of that one and another one I found comparable in 4 Cs. he sent the pictures and I can honestly say that he was right. He could have processed it send it to me but again, he was honest. by the way, the one I finally picked was actually a couple hundred cheaper.
Until the time I received rings, he was extremely helpful. I could not ask for a better experience. And this is coming from a guy who doesn't even write a sentence review on his favorite restaurant. "
