"I’m furious. I purchased 100% silk for a wedding dress. It took a long time to arrive, and when it came it was immediately obvious it was not real. It feels like polyester. I did a burn test on a few strands and it melted like plastic. What a waste of time and money. Who do we report these frauds to?"
"this business is a nightmare!"
"Maybe this is partly my bad but I found out the hard way that they will NOT inform you that fabrics are out of stock unless you tell them so when you order. I was under the false impression that their webpage was up to date and that items listed on it were in stock. They are not! I ordered three samples and two were out of stock. They did not inform me of this and shipped only one 1/8th sample with a shipping charge of $6.95. I contacted them and their response was that I did not say to contact them as stated on the policy page. So I go to the policy page and find this " If you wish to be contacted prior to your order being shipped out, we will be glad to do so. Please make sure to have your phone number and email address on your order and add a note in the comments section of the online order form letting us know. Tell us: "Call if anything is sold out"." Why would a company NOT automatically let a customer know before shipping that several items were not available? I cannot think of a single reason except they are a really bad company with terrible customer service. Will not order again. I count myself lucky that this (my first and last order) was so small."
"This fabric came fast & is even prettier than I imagined. Very good price. Does not send tracking # or shipping info, tho. But it was fast. "
"They are the biggest SCAMER in the U.S.....I will never EVER DEAL with them again. They are very rude and they over charge people.......and myself even though with a big buck. Plus these people have no clue what is the fabric content."
"I've ordered from Fashion Fabrics Club many times and have always gotten lovely high quality fabric.
You may have to wait to get your items delivered, but I think the prices and the quality are worth the wait.
I've called them once to question an order and the representative was courteous and helpful.
I am so glad to be able to buy natural fabrics at a reasonable price. Most of the local fabric stores sell synthetics. Where else can you get silk crepe de chine at $15.00 a yard. And some of their higher priced fabrics like 4 ply silk and double wool crepe are still less expensive than other stores. "
"This is the third time I ordered some fabric from Fashion Fabric Club. Needless to say, they exceeded my expectation! The fabric was better than I expected, (excellent quality), and the delivery of the product was very fast. I will continue to buy from them again."
"I am breaking my review into two parts. First I made the mistake of assuming they had people who would be considered “customer service”. My mistake also I didn’t notice and have yet to find a online statement that let’s a us foolish buyers know you get under 3 seconds if and I repeat IF they answer the phone before they hang up on you while still asking your question. Now I had read the reviews mostly unflattering and took a chance. Reason being many people I know who are actively on YouTube and such mention and show fabrics from this site. (However the do know the owners). I had been advised to call and speak to one of them and a certain rep. Never made that far. I exceeded my phone time. Now the fabrics, onyx wool flannel gabardine, that actually is nice quality fabric. It on it’s own would get a much better than two star rating 3.5, now the carbon black wool gabardine TW, that’s horrible. It was only $10.46 a yard advertised to compare to a much higher quality and more expensive product. Not in this lifetime. Would I recommend or consider this site again. Had they been polite when I called, perhaps. Customer service means a great deal today. They don’t offer enough that they can be rude. "
"I can't believe the one star reviews as I've ordered for years from them and never had a problem! There are times I've ordered and stock has run short, I get a phone call from a wonderful woman named Abby, who asks "Would I like the lesser yards or a credit?" Abby is very polite, and wonderful at customer service! I can't say enough great things about how she treats me and makes me feel like an appreciated customer! I order every month from this company and my average order is about $185 without shipping.
Yes, it does take 14 days from credit card payment to receive my order, there are no surprises there as they say it plain and simple when you place your order. As far as shipping costs... People come in from the rain! Shipping costs have sky rocketed with the internet, if you need proof, just look at how many people are Amazon Prime members! All of them pay a $100/year to get free shipping even if they don't order often! My last e-bay order was for a used $3.00 replacement coffee pot for my Bunn coffee makers and the shipping cost me $9.00! All together still cheaper than buying a replacement pot from Bunn! Shipping is expense! But the cost of the fabric and shipping is still so much cheaper than what the fabric would have cost me from any place else!
I've also read complaints about how the fabric is shipped because it come in a bag or box. Really? What did you expect? You want it folded and pressed with each item wrapped in tissue paper? This is fabric... any fabric with the exception of "dry clean only" should be washed BEFORE you sew that fabric! Which makes any complaints that it comes in a bag or box pretty silly!
All in all, I have NO COMPLAINTS about Fashion Fabric Club, only COMPLIMENTS AND APPRECIATION!

"I am a new sewer but have been looking for wool. I just happened to come upon this website. I went crazy and ordered different wools without seeing it or feeling it, thinking this is a mistake. I couldn't have been more wrong. The wool is absolutely gorgeous. I received it much quicker than I expected. I emailed customer service the day after with a question that was quickly answered. How to get samples. Also, I told them I found a coupon for free shipping could I apply that, they said no but they would refund my shipping since the ordered had been processed. I received the wool, it is absolutely beautiful! They also put on each fabric how many yards you purchased in case you forgot, which I did. I ordered enough for myself and my mother. I would highly recommend them and can't wait to order more. The price is great. One piece I had found on a different website and compared the price to this website. This website was a whole lot less expensive. "
"I have ordered several times from Fashion Fabrics Club. I was looking for something simple -- cotton poly fabric in light and dark blue and also light grey. The fabric stores like JoAnnes seem to have been kidnapped by quilters who use 100% cotton fabrics and it's hard to find cotton-poly in different colors. I order several samples of one yard at a time to make sure I will be able to choose the color I want. (No website can give you accurate colors -- you have to see it with your own eyes).
My order came in about twelve days. The shipping for four yards total was $ 6.95, which is about the minimum of what any package from Missouri to Oregon would cost.
I'm happy to have this way of shopping available for fabric that is hard to find in fabric stores. "
"It's obviously run by con men. As an international buyer I am more than a little disgruntled. I ordered some fabric very recently and was quite happy with the pricing and shipping. Payment was made, the next thing I know I'm billed again and it's almost the same as what I had just paid and they tell me "oh that's the shipping". I would assume that when you order something, shipping is included, apparently NOT so with this stupid company. Who the hell charges you for shipping 1 week after you purchased items?! Extremely **** off, never EVER ordering from this shop again. "
"I don't doubt other people have had negative experiences with this retailer, but my order went fine. I resisted ordering from them for a long time because of the negative reviews, but they had a killer deal on a designer fabric I had seen elsewhere for twice as much money. I browse fabric sites like other people read the newspaper, so I knew it was the lowest price I would find.
Fashion Fabrics Club carries a lot of the exact same fabric that you can find on other more reputable sites, so the assertion that their fabric is all low quality is false. All of these online retailers seem to source their merchandise from the same places. Even the stuff that's not brand name you can recognize by pattern. Whether or not you get something bad or not seems to be down to your familiarity with the brand and luck. Unbranded stuff is the worst (not in terms of quality, but in terms of risk.)
I also waited to place my order until after the holiday season so I didn't have to deal with the Christmas rush. That said, they were a little slow. It took about 2 weeks for my order to arrive, which was a few days later than other retailers. My fabrics arrived in perfect condition, in a single bag, in a cardboard box. Not the best packing ever, but everything was fine.
I am glad I didn't have to deal with customer service. I wouldn't order from this place if you aren't prepared to eat the cost of the fabric if you don't like it.
Would I recommend them? Yes, if you are ordering a fabric you know is good, or from a brand you like, and the price is right. It's not worth it unless you're getting a good deal."
"Extremely unhappy about the poor quality of fabrics (not worth even clearance prices), the misleading website and inadequate packaging!
Shipping was fast (and free, I ordered during their Free Shipping Week Sale) but all fabrics came over-stuffed in a single plastic bag. From two ordered beige wool throws one was missing, the other was stained through bleeding color from a piece of red thread, which, perhaps, was once holding a label? (My guess is, the fabric was stored in a humid environment.) The other three fabrics didn't match the descriptions on the website. All of the "rayon" fabrics I've ordered from this company are acetate or nylon, not rayon. What was advertised as "silk charmeuse" with original price $30 per yard was see-through and lacking any satin sheen.
The website has a very outdated design, images are not well done and it's time-consuming to search for particular term in order to find all matching items.
I am returning everything, expecting a refund (otherwise will dispute the transaction through my credit card company) and will not buy from them ever again. "
"Oh well, I thought they did good, at least this time around. I thought it came fairly quickly. I ordered September 5 and my first package came one week later. The other package is due on Saturday. I look forward to seeing it. I don't think the fabric is too bad. It certainly has more to offer than JoAnne Fabrics does! I couldn't find what I was looking for there. I found the colors and the type of wash and wear material I wanted, so I'm satisfied. I ordered from Denver Fabrics and I guess this "Fashion Fabrics Club" is the same people. Or that's where the warehouse is. I thought maybe I had bought iridescent silk from them several years ago, and it was really nice stuff. I think back then it was a small company and they seemed really nice. But this is fine. I'm just glad to find this material and the website really is terrific because it tells you what's in the material and how to care for it. Plus the colors seem to be right on the mark from the colors they show on my computer screen."
