"I have had no problems with this company.I have been ordering from them for a year now. Orders are quick to be shipped and if i recieve a defective item they are quick to make it up. Warranty items too are quickly handled."

"Ordered a whole system got a bad bios chip on the board. took so long to get an RMA and to get the techs to acknowledge I needed one it ran into Christmas. board was cross shipped. about 2 weeks after another board arrives and my credit card is hit for $79.99 waited till 27th dec to call back because of Xmass was told to call back after the 1st. Called back after the first and the owner pro-rated the board because it took so long. said I would only get back $45 of the 80 but could get the balance on my next purchase. I told him I didnt order it wanted it picked up, issue a call tag please. He told me $45 or nothing so I kept the board figure I'll use it on another machine. Open the box no cables no disk no book. call back and email them, no responce.

"I emailed First Computer Systems to ask for a quote. I copied a system spec they were advertising on Pricewatch.com, then said that I wanted to upgrade the video, hard drive and get a CDRW instead of a CD Rom. The specs for the system included "Win CD COA".

First Computer Systems replied to my email note with a price of $479, which I thought was a good price. The system spec was as follows:

-AMD Athlon Xp 2000+ (Retail BOX, w/three years warranty).
-ECS K7S5a 4 USB (2 front)
better board than 810 board
-512 MB PC 133 major brand name
-80 GB Seagate/wd/maxtor 7200 RPM hard drive
-64 MB Gforce II MX AGP video card
-40x16x40 CYBER CDRW (retail)
-Mitsumi Floppy Drive
-56K Lucent Modem
-Mid Tower case w/300 PS, extra side fan
-Keyboard/mouse/speakers
- Win CD COA

I called them to place the order. They pulled up my email quote and I placed the order on Friday, January 17. They said I should have the computer the following Wednesday. I emailed them over the weekend to ask which version of Windows came with the system. They replied on Monday and said that I had to order the system online and specify which version of Windows, that my computer would not come with an Operating System at all.

So on Tuesday I emailed them back and said that I specifically requested Windows in the quote and it also was listed on the Pricewatch.com system. They tried to say that what I was getting was a totally different computer than the Pricewatch advertisement since I had upgraded some parts. However, I specifically requested Windows as part of the quote request, so it really does not matter about Pricewatch. By the time they read my second note, they had already shipped the system. They did tell me to not accept the shipment if I did not want it. However, this system was for my brother who needed it quick, so I had no choice. Not getting Windows with this sytem makes it much less of a good deal.

The system did arrive on time. It was packaged well. The system did appear to be assembled well (cables tied up properly, etc.) with a couple of exceptions. First of all, the computer would not boot at all. Nothing. I found the data cable to the hard drive was not properly seated. Also, I could not get the modem to work. Again, I found the modem not seated was the problem. Other than that, the computer functioned properly. One other thing I found is the reset button was stuck. Hopefully we won't need to use that too often. The case is totally different than the one shown on their web site.

So, the bottom line is be careful with this company. They may try to modify your order and not give you what you are expecting. It does appear that the hardware is what I ordered, but they shorted me a version of Windows.

In summary, I am somewhat dissatisfied. The price is not as good a deal as originally expected. It is too soon to tell about the quality. I may or may not purchase from them again.

Oh and they say on their web site Free T-Shirt and Mouse Pad. Don't bank on that either. I even reminded them, but they did not send.
