"I bought goods and they were delivered here, i was then hit with an invoice for customs duty and a charge from the postal service which added 50% to the price of the goods. this was early april.
I contacted fishpond and told them i am not paying the amount and they will be returned to them by the post office.
I contacted them on several occasions and was told that i would get the refund as soon as they receive the goods.
It is now 20th may 2015 and i haven't had a refund.
contacted the post office and they informed me that the goods were returned to fishpond on 18th april 2015, a month ago.
i have emailed fishpond customer services to see where we are unto and have received no reply.
They still have my money!!!!
No replies or email.
Update: received a reply today that they are going to refund me my money. Strange they reply after i leave a review!! will update when they do refund

I haven't received it yet, my card details have changed since the purchase and i updated straight away. it says on the site my refund has been paid back but as yet they haven't. the card number ends in 2012

I have emailed you 3 times today and received no replies to any of them. And still no refund!
Finally had a reply via email, this time they have refunded to a card that no longer exists. I was pretty open in my emails that this card no longer exists as it was compromised the reply i got is this

Our system was created in such a way that the credit card details can't be changed/updated after the order was marked as shipped.

What Is the point. They paid it into an account that is in dispute despite repeated emails telling them where it should go to!

"Will never buy off fishpond again their customer service is shocking - I ordered something and pay pal had the wrong address despite me putting the correct address on the order page. I have never received what I ordered yet the 65 dollars has never been refunded when asking about this they told me "it's my fault" .... I'm surprised they have a business "
"I had purchased a book for a friend and quickly realized it would not arrive in time. I emailed customer care who said I was able to refund purchases that had not been dispatched.
I immediately processed a refund and when confirmation was received it was for 20% less than purchase price.
I was informed this was due to a re-stocking fee however:
1. A re-stocking fee is not listed anywhere on the site
2. The order had not been dispatched.
Customer care is now ignoring my emails!

"Fishpond is such a bad business for sellers and buyers.
I bought from them and received a fake textbook. The book had a bad quality colour cover and inside were just photocopies. I could not believe it.
I obviously complained but they did not care. They just answered that their suppliers were all legit!
I also used Fishpond to sell some of my books. All were in good conditions and some were even brand new. I used what they called Smartsell and it was a huge mistake. I had to wait over a month to see my books finally listed and then this is the worst bit... Fishpond sold my books for a couple of dollars. $4/$5 when I paid sometime near $50/$70 for a book. Do not use this business. They just do not care enough as long as they are making their commission."
