"Bought a ring from them for my proposal. The ring arrived gorgeous, and they helped me even with my really bad descriptions of the correct ring size. After delivery, they happily resized it perfectly for me as they discussed before sending.
About 18 months later a diamond fell out, I was understandably distraught. I sent it off to them as requested, and they came back to tell me they strengthened the ring to ensure it wouldn't happen again and replaced the diamond free of charge.

"They absolutely did me right by my ring. I picked out a black/dark Welo opal. The stone is beautiful and I am super in love with it. Customer service was fantastic from my initial inquiry - Janine made sure I had options for the setting of my preference, got me photographed examples, then she helped me checkout to my specifications. Kent then sized and set my stone into the ring after purchase. That took 7 days to complete.
Throughout the process they kept me updated and after it was finished they sent me a final picture before it was shipped to me. From Brisbane, Australia to New York, USA it was roughly 11-12 days in transit. Arrived nicely packaged and intact.

"Ring arrived with a large chip on the girdle, severe inclusions (rated VVS on the site), and a large crack in a prong (appeared to have been lengthened by soldering more gold on to it and not creating a good connection). Refund offered including return shipping by Janine. I packed more carefully than they did (using a box instead of only a bubble envelope) and incurred approximately $45 in costs to return as per their instructions. Refund received promptly. Shipping refund sent separately using PayPal. I received notice but cannot retrieve the funds as I long ago closed that PayPal account with that email address due to fraudulent activities by PayPal. I also cannot add that email address to a new PayPal account, thus leaving me unable to retrieve the funds. Janine and Kent claim that PayPal stated that I have received the money, but I have not and can not. FlashOpal will not do anything further to retrieve their money from PayPal and credit me for return shipping using a different method. I will never do business with FlashOpal again due to not only the fiasco with refunding of my return shipping costs, but the extremely poor quality and craftsmanship of the gem and setting."
