"I know this is generally a techie website, but the powers that be told me I could warn you all of www.floweria.com - an online flower retailer. They offered competitive pricing, a nice website, and good deals. They also assured me I would be able to get Valentine's Day delivery. First of all, they charged me IMMEDIATELY when I placed my order (a month in advance of Valentine's Day). This was unsettling. Then, I noticed that I had two separate charges. The first - 50.94 - for the actual flowers. The second - 12.51 - was for a "Saturday shipping adjustment." IMO, after you are charged once, even if the company made a mistake - they are obligated to inform you and ask permission to either charge again, or cancel the order. Well, V-day came, and NO FLOWERS. And NOW THEIR PHONES ARE DISCONNECTED AND E-MAILS GO UNANSWERED! Buyer beware. I did manage to get a call through once, and after arguing with the lady for some time, she said she would credit my account. This never happened. The e-mails that actually did get answered at the very beginning of all this were rude, and implied I was a liar and thief. They also claim that it was delivered at 10:15am, but I was home all day long. FedEx even told me that the retailer messed up and gave me a personal number to reach them at (which also goes unanswered). I am in the process of disputing the charges with my Visa account. Be very cautious of these scammers. Use 1800flowers.com instead - much better service!"
